I don't usually like beige, nor do I like very shiny coats, but somehow the two work together here perfectly! I think it looks ever so slightly too loose up on top, but depends on how much you want to layer under it. How tight was the medium in the hips? Sometimes what works for me is if something is just a touch too tight across the hips, I move the bottom button out a little (you can usually move it around an inch without it looking crooked, in my experience). Does it look big? I love the slight sheen (which is emphasized by my flash) and the collar. The fabric reads as slightly pearlescent IRL; sort of a coated canvas fabric. I tried a Medium on in-store and it was too tight in the hips, so I had them send me the Large. If this one doesn't pass muster I'll be back on the hunt. </p>
