You can wear flat oxfords with everything! They're a great look on you. I prefer the second sweater, with a little exposed forearm and more of the fuchsia showing.

You are doing your fashion homework, which means you will ace the test and have a Fab Fall.

I personally like the look of oxfords with tights and dresses/skirts. I think you look great in all these pics and bonus that it's as comfy as pants. :)

First, update on the Milly wool tweed sheath. I visited it and tried it on with blouses and tights underneath and felt like a sausage. I still lusted after it a bit as it could be worn as a sheath with sheer hose and a jacket over, but my number of occasions for that very rare. If it were more of a seasonless fabric , maybe. But I think it is just a smidge too snug even.

However that day I had worn my patent oxfords with pants, and so that’s what I tried it on with, with tights. I’ve never worn them with skirts because I thought they were too clunky. But I thought they looked good with the tweed sheath, so came back home to SYC.

Shown here is my pic 1-2 is my CK fuchsia sleeveless sheath with a Soft Joie mesh cowl neck sweater over. The sweater is bit long (it’s good for pants), but the short dress helps the proportions, I think. I think the oxfords work for my style and are somewhat de-frumped/de-clumped by the short tapered skirt, and also there is something about a not-black skirt, so there is not SO much black—this is what I noticed when trying the tweed dress. I would enjoy a more “refined” oxford (the Munro’s have a smaller silhouette) but despite having relatively skinny feet, by the time I fit in the bunion and room for tights or socks and my long feet, well, my shoes just ain’t tiny.

3-4 is with a slightly shorter V-neck cardi (3) and with my VC slipper loafers (4) . The VC’s are more refined but also more light-sucking black--suede.

What say you? Do both shoes work? Or do I just have on oxford goggles and look like Ma Brown ?The outfit is comfortable enough so’s I could actually wear it instead of pants.
