"We" are all over the place, aren't we? I am impressed with those who buy and immediately wear. I just can't do that. I have to let it hang in my closet for awhile, while I decide whether or not it is a Keeper. I get it out every couple of days/weeks and look at it and try to think through all of the outfits that I could wear with it. My guess is that my process goes like that, because I am not a very "intentional" shopper - better than pre-YLF - but still have some impulsive tendencies, so I know better than to immediately wear something new outside of the house right away, because I really don't feel that I can trust myself just yet in making good wardrobe decisions!<br /> Right now I have new and unworn -</p> <p>2 pairs of baggy dress trousers that I bought to wear for a consulting job, and then the night before the job was supposed to start, I got a call that they were putting it (me) off due to financial constraints.</p> <p>1 pair of ponte knit pants - I can't "get" them right - I just feel frumpy in them - they are either going back, or going to the YLF exchange.</p> <p>1 sleeveless tunic that I bought without trying on - I know, very foolish of me - and now that I've tried it on, I realize that I'll never wear it - but it was on sale, and I can't return it - its also going in the YLF exchange bag.</p> <p>1 pair of summer shoes that I bought on sale a couple of weeks ago.</p> <p>That's it! They really fit me well and were ridiculously inexpensive. Even though I currently have no occasion to wear them, this strategy has served me well in the past. Instead of having to buy a cocktail dress in a pinch and spend a lot of money, I buy semi-formal dresses when I find them. Also, I know that I will be wearing one for my birthday on Saturday and I already have a casual outfit planned in my head for the other one.<br /> 1 blouse - this came in the mail and needs ironing. Of course, this is not a good excuse. I am going to go home and iron it tonight. :)<br /> 1 summer blouse - this was deeply reduced at target.
