I personally do like mixing metals. For me to feel like it works on me I always need to feel it is deliberate. For example, I won't wear a silver necklace, earrings, bag hardware and shoe hardware with a random gold bracelet. Instead I like to mix it in more together like two tone earrings, silver necklace, then two bracelets of the mix.
