The colour is great. Re the hardware -- I wear only silver jewellery but my denim jacket has coppery rose-goldy buttons -- I live with it and it doesn't affect anything. Anyway, I like it with all the dresses. I wear my own almost exclusively with dresses and skirts -- rarely with wide leg pants or a culotte or sarong short, but never with slim bottoms. Mine is cropped, though, so a slightly different profile.&nbsp;</p> <p>I know denim jackets are polarizing, but honestly -- until I joined YLF I could not imagine myself with one; I'd just never had one on that I liked. The stiffness bothered me. Then, early on my time in YLF I found this one, and I have never looked back. You might play a little with arranging the collars and various way to open or button up the neckline and see if it feels right. This is a lovely classic denim jacket. I find that with denim jackets with gold stitching (such as yours) the golden colour means that gold hardware and jewellery tie in and the silver buttons means that you can also wear silver with it.</p> <p>That said, if you are not loving the collar, denim jackets with mandarin jackets are available - my white jacket has a mandarin collar and a zip.</p> <p>The only thing that makes me pause is that you are uncertain. Once they’re buckled I can slip them on &amp; off without opening the buckle, but they stay securely in my foot, my heel doesn’t slide side to side like in the Eccos, and the different colors mean they go with most things so I will never ever have to try on sandals again (slight exaggeration for effect).
