My button down shirts, especially a chambray one fall into this category . My denim dress is close. I thought I would wear it this summer but the long sleeves look and feel too warm. Maybe it will be a transitional piece. Sometimes one just wants something different. Yesterday I wore a new-to -me color combination of a plumpish purple top with olive joggers and an olive jacket when needed. Although fashionable when I bought it (3? 4? years ago) it's now just dependable and mostly seems to come out after have a 'nothing to wear' thought and then remember it! </p>
