These are great! A little bit of cottage core going on here.

Cat2, definitely looking for ways to use pieces like these that are already in my closet! Not in a big buying mood right now.

I think I would pass on new pieces in mouse colors: grey, beige, etc. Existing pieces can work if paired with a more flattering color near your face, like layering your sweaters with bright tops.

Thanks Angie & Suntiger. Clearly I have a ways to go before I have an outfit; your comments will help.

Doubling up on photos, because I don’t want to hog the whole forum. Same top as #3, different everything else, including the new jeans.

I like the proportions in #3 and #4.

The cherry red is more flattering than the olive/brown/grey shown here.

That said, I have seen you wear cognac - your old suede jacket (and shoe/bag complement) - and white, and like those neutrals on you a lot! Navy too. (Your old long coat).

FWIW, I think you look great in brighter neutrals as opposed to greyed and muted ones, if that makes sense. White, bright browns, navy.

As Suntiger says, see where your mood takes you. It all has to feel right too!

I like the brighter colors more on you, but having the option to do all neutral outfits if the mood strikes is good! I like the proportion in #3.

My first reaction to Friday’s outfit idea was “nope, neutrals aren’t for me—next”. But then look what I’m wearing around the house today in pic 2. The cami and hoodie are for home use only, but do I have a neutrals side after all?

I decided to play around, and immediately messed with proportions as well as color schemes, destroying the “neutrals” idea with a pop of red.

This is a new thought for me to think. What do you’ll think? Headed in the right direction or should I stick to my bright jewel tones & pastels?
