The Joes Jeans run bigger than other premium jeans I have tried. I am consistently a 4P in Ann Taylor/ATL/ON/Gap/BR/Victoria's Secret if that helps, (5', ~120lbs). In most jeans I am a 28. I have 3 pairs of Joes Jeans and they are all 27's.

modgrl, those Joe's look fab - 30" inseam is perfect for me. I hate having to hem petites. Do you know if they run TTS?

I will try the COH Ditas also. I find a higher rise stops some of the slide, since a low rise is like a head start on slidng and I can pull some jeans down without unbuttoning. Thanks fellow petites!

Here are the Joe's Jeans-

http://www.anthropologie.com/a.....ction=jump

Look at the perfect knee break. No weird bell coming out at mid-calf. These are made for petites.

Love Joe's Jeans, but I still have to wear them with a belt or they wiggle down by the end of the day. It looks like you are asking for bootcut rec's. If you're also looking for skinny's, I love my James Jeans "Twiggy", they are a 30" inseam, and they stay up all day.

I am 5'3" and have had success with: Joe's Petite Provocateur, Hudson Bootcut, J Brand and recently tried on but did not purchase Citizens of Humanity Dita fit. (I am a pretty pear though.)

I second the COH Dita. They are at the top of my wishlist. I just bought the COH Ava a couple of weeks ago. They are skinnies and no slide down problems. I can honestly say they're the best jeans I've ever owned. Also bought a pair of Joes Jeans Provocateur skinnies. They are hardly wearable they bag out so much. Nordies does have a Paige petite skinny. Loved it..just liked the COH fit on me better. Btw, we are built similar although I'm 5'3.

Una, definitely look for Paige petites; I think they're great.

Also try out COH Dita petite bootcuts. Nordstrom has them in five different washes online right now. This is one of the dark washes: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ci.....ltback=228 I love the Dita and am waiting/hoping COH comes out with the Santorino (white) color again, as I'm snapping one up as soon as they do.

Disclaimer: I have hips and booty, so you might have slide issues with the Dita. I think, though, that you should focus on finding a good fit in the rise and the leg break, and then tailor as needed for a perfect fit. You might find you need to take a little nip in the waist, for example, to halt the slide!

I don't know anything about petite jeans, but just got to put a word in for Paige! If they come in petites I would definitely give them a go Una - they fit me (the regulars, not the petites) perfectly - and I don't have a butt either. I LOVE them! My very favorite brand - I own 4 pairs of Paige jeans!

Anna, I'm a mere 5'1"! Petite jeans are so frustrating - all I'm finding is mom jeans. I think I'll have to go to Nordie's and give DH the heads-up...

5'7", the rise was pretty low if I remember correctly. Though I saw them 3 years ago was 40 lbs heavier.

I remember seeing Paige petite jeans at Saks in NYC. Though they were pretty long, I think I tried them on and they almost fit me.

So I'm grudgingly admitting that all my jeans are too short for PPL, and I am going to ask for a pair of premium jeans for my birthday. I'd like just a basic dark wash that looks good on my hip-free, booty-free self, and I have a short inseam, so knee break and all that kind of thing is an issue with hemming. I really don't want to get into the Not Your Daughter's Jeans, which are what come up most often in petites.

What do you all suggest I look for in terms of criteria? Does anyone have suggestions for a basic brand? 7FAM and COH are the two I've had in the past; both tend to do the infamous slide-down. HELP!
