I love them. I agree that a larger size sunglasses is best because of the added protection it gives your eyes and the skin around your eyes. Accumulated sun exposure supposedly leads to cataracts and even though it happens slowly, it’s a great idea to protect your eyes as much as possible starting at an early age. I worked as a lifeguard, swim and boating instructor between the ages of 15 and 25, always outdoors in the summers. It helped to pay for my education. My hours were longest when I was younger. Sadly, I didn’t wear sunglasses or sunscreen. I live with the consequences now. For my latest pair of regular frames, I went with an option that was slightly larger than ideal but a good color (rather than a pair from the same line that was a more ideal size but a color that overwhelmed my features). From this vantage point I don’t regret it at all. I love the color and shape! (Probably why I have a similar pair too heehee). Not everyone can wear cat eyes but it works on you. It lines up with your eyebrows on top which is good. To me it doesn’t look big. For some reason I find I need to wear cat eye styles a bit larger than other styles or it doesn’t look right. Or maybe you CAN wear cat eyes bigger and it looks more intentional than other styles, which is good because then more of my eyes are protected from wrinkles. If you go to an actual independent optical shop with well trained opticians, I’m quite sure you can find a frame with nosepads which will look good and fit your face exactly. Most frames that are on display at a shop like that can be ordered a few mm wider or narrower than the standard width. </p> <p>If you are going for a non custom option, it gets harder with a frame like the one you showed, because it’s ideally supposed to be curved around your face and tilted with pantoscopic tilt to optimize your vision, and a pair off the rack isn’t going to do those things. </p>
