Your understanding of the adjective "ladylike" is polar opposite to mine. I would describe Vera Wang, Gwen Stefani and Cate Blanchette as having ladylike styles - along with being super edgy, funky, trendy, daring and avant garde.</p> <p>"Ladylike" means that you exude grace and you do that in your creative and playful ensembles without even thinking about it. It's not a bad thing! In my opinion it's a fabulous thing. I was a broke SAHM in a one-car family when my babies were babies. We had to find free things to do to keep from going stir crazy. Sometimes we would go to the park, but when they were still pram-sized, what could I do but sit on the bench and watch people go by? When it was hot we would go to the indoor shopping mall and I'd sit on a bench and watch people go by. To amuse myself I'd make up stories in my head about the lives of the people I saw. Over many years, I developed a sort of quick-sketch profile method. Naturally, I don't know whether I'm correct most of the time but I still do it. </p> <p>So ... How can I tell that you're well-loved? I don't know that for sure, but you have the look of someone who is cared for and who cares for herself. I don't know exactly how to explain that, but there it is.</p> <p>The well-off is not about how much your clothes cost. In your pictures I see a grace and an ease that I associate with people who are not wondering where their next meal is coming from. This is another one that's hard for me to explain without going into an awful lot of detail. You look like someone who is closer to the top of Maslow's hierarchy than the bottom. I think that's something that often shows in the way a person carries and presents themselves. :-)</p> <p>As for organized - that's easy! You have children and a husband and a household to take care of and you never look disheveled. But it is different from yours. ) There really is an ease and grace to you that is not quantifiable.</p> <p>I once worked with an Italian female scientist, she would wear jeans and sneakers in the lab but she always had on a scarf, a big men's watch, and great earrings. Something about her was so elegant : nothing fussy just elegant. I picture Ann Taylor clothing: fitted and sleek silhouettes.</p> <p>Eclectic - This means artistic to me: loose, flowy. graphic pieces.</p> <p>Daring/Bold - I suppose if you were thinking color then yes I like my color mixes.
