When I was trying on the jacket I was wearing dark wash denim bermuda shorts. And you know...I may have been crazy, but I thought it looked pretty good! I had a white shirt on. </p> <p>So I may experiment with my dark wash skinnies and see how it looks with those. Maybe it won't be so bad. I would think skinny pants or capris in many colors could pair well with that jacket. Longer skirts or as you mentioned a longer top under the jacket would likely make it work better with shorter skirts. To me, it does overwhelm the skirt a bit right now. I'm not a bermuda shorts fan so I won't suggest those. I think you're going to find a lot of uses for it over time. I love denim with black pants and white top.</p> <p>I have a lighter denim military inspired jacket (light enough to be shirt weight) that I pop over my tanks/shorts in summer. But I tend to wear shorter shorts (5" - 7" inseam) so the jacket is like 2/3 and the shorts 1/3.
