In which case, go with prepared food, perhaps someone local can make several single serve portions that can go in the freezer. Someone gave us a soup subscription and it was great. How about some Sudoku books or crosswords, Adult Coloring Books and some nice colored pencils or markers. These are good stress reducers for caregivers. I also like to include hydroflasks.
