Yes - those are MUCH better - especially #1 and 3. You should practice "the rule of 5" from Angie's today post with these pants and post on the forum :-0

I have a few pair of these and always wear them with a heel or wedge of some sort. For instance, I wear a pair of black drapey crepe ones with a high heeled sneaker wedge boot, and a pair of navy (also drapey) ones with pumps. I feel too short and dumpy when wearing them with flats because of the volume in the pant leg. A pair of army green khakis with a banded bottom will be worn with an open back bootie (high heeled). I don't tuck anything in . I like yours!

I can already see the improvement since you switched to a slouchier blouse! Slouchy pants definitely need a more fluid top. Keep everything fluid and relaxed.

I had some trouble styling my harem pants when I got them last summer. I still don't like them on me for winter wear or paired with boots. But for summer wear with sandals, I adore them.Took some getting used to. But once I got the silhouette right, I swear they knocked 10-15 lbs off me visually!

It's really hard to get used to this shape after not wearing this style for a while. I just bought some recently, and love how comfortable they are. I also realised that they need structure, so a bit of waist definition or rolled legs in my case. And I find that wearing a long straight boyfriend or maxi cardigan helps me get used to the extra fabric while slimming and elongating the look.

Carole - just uploaded more styling attempts with drapey tops. Looking forward to seeing your WIWs this summer!
chadya - it's a tricky piece, isn't it? And I'm not ready to pay hefty amount for a trendy item either. I still expect some fun styling it, even if it's not my most flattering silhouette. :)
Style Fan - agree they would look good with denim jacket!

I think they look great on you. I just bought a pair myself. I wear them below my waist. I would wear a drapey top if I had one with me but I don't so I wear a simple T shirt and a denim jacket.

They are so comfy.

I just purchased the same pair, Daria. These seem like a great fit for you and will be a fun piece to play with. I agree that drapey tops seem to work well and I think a heeled sandal or ankle strap type shoe works well, too. I tried mine with a flat slip on and I liked that, too.

Here's a link to my post on the forum with some pictures...

I love the pins that Sveta has collected..lots of ideas there.

This will be fun!

Sveta - thanks for the link, will be definitely checking it out! Yes, obviously it's a wild card for me as well; hoping to see your WIW featuring them this summer. :)
Firecracker - thank you, you are right that button-down was not the best top to go with them; it's what I happened to be wearing while trying them on.

Daria those pants look great on you! I agree with Sveta, that a more relaxed top would look better with them than the crisp button-down that you are trying them with here. I think both shoes can work, though I have a preference for the green ones--it may be influenced by the top, though. I see in Sveta's pins that booties or sneakers can work just as well as pumps with this style of pant.

(Daria, you are too sweet - thank you!)
I think they fit well. My preference would be to wear them lower than the waist for a bit of slouch. I also think that these pants look best with drapey tops - fluid fit sweaters, knit tops or soft blouses. The styling should be deliberate here. I started a Pinterest board on them for inspiration for mine, hopefully it can be helpful to you as well.
We will learn how to style them together as they are my wild card for the season ! :-)

What do you ladies think about these drapey pants? They are XS and I think they fit fine size-wise, but .. do I look like a clown (especially in combination with oxfords)? I remember Sveta's post where she demonstrated her BR pants, and while she had some reservations, I think do look awesome on her. Not sure at all about these pants and the look in general. My main fear is that being black, they would look like ill-fitting (and short) dress pants, especially if I try to style them up as I did on the photos. Also - are they supposed to sit on the waist or below? I initially put them a bit higher but DH (who looked quite intrigued :)) insisted that they should sit slightly lower. Any advice and opinions appreciated - thank you!
