You have all helped a lot!! Okay...so go with cool colors with blue tones? I'll concentrate on this pink and bluer shades of green and turquoise. I'm guessing my neutrals should stay in the cool range also?

This is eye opening because I always thought I should go with warm tones! Of course I also thought I was pear shaped until I found this forum and saw that I was an hourglass.

I am definitely not one of those people who intuitively knows what is right!

Another vote for pink first. You look good in cool shades in my opinion. That's quite a blue shade of pink, as opposed to a yellow one (on my screen anyway).

The turquoise needs cleaning up - to Shiny's point, add white and green instead of black and brown. I hope we’ve helped, Chelle. I know that choosing flattering colours can be confusing.

I completely agree with what's been said: pink first, then salmon, then aqua. It's the brown that's not so flattering I think, but I have a hunch that a different shade of 'bright blue' might work better too.

Maybe a true turquoise, or a purplish blue like this:
http://bananarepublic.gap.com/.....=646836022

or a bright teal:
http://bananarepublic.gap.com/.....pid=646857

Hands down bright pink, then salmon. I think turquoise is not that bad either, it is the brown cardi that ruins it for me.

Hmm...I've been getting lots of compliments on the pink lately and have quite a bit of it in my close so your comments make sense, Shiny. I always wondered about that color because my hair is such a warm brown.

It does seem like the aqua would work if the bright pink does, but that is what makes color so confusing!

I sometimes get compliments on the salmon too. I do like it with brown but then again that seems like a warm combo.

Hands down, my favorite on you is the pink. It perks your whole face up. Without makeup, you look like you are wearing pretty pink lipstick AND very subtle eyeshadow. You look fresh and well-rested.

My least favorite is the turquoise. There's something a bit too harsh about it with your coloring, and you look less rested. It's weird though because I would think if you can wear that shade of pink, you could wear this turquoise? I can't explain it. Hmm.... it might be that it's the brown cardi that's throwing me? Can you try the turquoise with white or by itself? Something about that shade of turquoise doesn't seem to jive with brown for me.

I also love the salmon on you. To me, it's more of a blue-based salmon so a cool color, not a warm one. But that could be the lighting. The salmon also seems to be doing good things for your complexion. How does the salmon work with the brown cardi?

I am having a small obsession with color right now. Before I make spring and summer purchases, I'd love to have your opinion about which colors suit me. I have been impressed with Angie's use of neutrals and three signature colors and would love to narrow down my purchases as well.

Here are three photos with different colors and no makeup. Bright pink with pure white, dark salmon with cream, brown with bright aqua. Do I look best in the cool or warm combo? Is the brown with aqua warm or cool? I wear this combo a lot. Thanks for your help!
