I wore it with a black trench, or a tan trench, and a scarf that had black, golden brown and two colours of red ( orangey red and pinky red) in the design. The purse style works well with casual ( jeans) looks too, and I would use a plaid scarf if I felt that I needed to repeat the colour. The color is very pretty, and should be possible to pair with several different colorways. I think you could style it in many different directions. Black would be obvious to me, but the style of boot would play a part in the decision, too. I think your brown winter booties are just fine with it, especially if you could pick up the color from the bag in a scarf instead (the Angie way).
