Much much warmer than Eddie Bauer or other such brands. I walk to and live in hockey arenas all winter long so warmth is dreadfully important. I actually just wear summer-weight purple keen fabric hiking boots in the snow and never thought about them being cold, even during our -30s last year. They're too clunky for commuting on anything but the worst days though. </p> <p>How about your socks? I find that wool socks really help, especially smart wool. They are rainproof and warm to at least -20F. Also they pull on and off so no zipper to freeze shut. </p> <p>Sorels has a ton of adorable styles out now, and some have removable liners that can be replaced.</p> <p>My problem with most Uggs, although I LOVE them for comfort, is that they let wetness in. I try to ride my bike to work much of the winter which adds to the excitement (or at least to the need for really warm boots, along with warm everything else)! I keep lots of shoes in my office all winter so I can change when I get there, but I also like to have boots that are stylish enough that I can keep them on if I want to. For the past several years, I've worn the Ugg Brookfields, <a href="http://www.zappos.com/ugg-brookfield-chocolate-dunlin" rel="nofollow">http://www.zappos.com/ugg-broo.....ate-dunlin</a>, and they've actually been great - warm enough, more weatherproof than all-suede Uggs, and relatively stylish. However, I've worn them to death and they're no longer warm enough (the shearling has worn out to nothing in places). S, I'm thinking of either replacing them or getting something new altogether. What do you other ladies who reside in cold places wear on your feet in the winter time? </p>
