You might like a boyfriend or straight leg jean style as they are more forgiving through the thigh and don't squeeze the calf. They are also easily rolled at the cuff so no hemming or heels needed. They look cute with flats, boots, and heels. My favorites are AG slim ex boyfriend and the JCrew boyfriend. I would bring a few pretty tops with a sweater or blazer to throw on top. JCrew has a really cute cropped blazer sweater that goes with everything. If you don't like blouse styles there are lots of great tshirt options as well: striped, graphic, sleeve details. Have fun. Already a little anxious about meeting new people, moreso in their early to mid-thirties.&nbsp;</p> <p>Almost all the casual outfits I see involve skinny jeans and booties.&nbsp;With very full thighs and relatively skinny calves, I feel unbalanced in outfits with skinny jeans or looks that taper at the ankle. Unfortunately,&nbsp;I have a drawer full of skinny jeans I never wear because I am uncomfortable with the look on me. </p> <p>I'm 5 feet tall, about 125 lbs, *short torso* (usually choose petite tops for this reason), carrying excess weight in my thighs, and now my upper arms as I get older (I'm 41).</p> <p>I'm for purchasing some new items, so that I'm set for a while in terms of weekend wear.</p> <p>I would really appreciate suggestions/inspiration for "safe" outfits (as uninspirational as that may sound to many of you, ha!) that would see me through what my upcoming trip may bring :).&nbsp; </p>
