Occasionally I am a 40.5 but rarely a 41. So 40 might be a better bet. Or better still 40.5 if they have it. I don't know the brand at all. I am overwhelmed. <br />I have been searching so long that I just can't let them get away from me, so I went ahead and ordered the 41s, with a note on the order asking them to advise me if they run big. Since I want them so much that I am willing to put in an insole and wear a heavy sock, I figured I'd give the larger size a go. If they are still unmanageably gigantic on me when they arrive (in a couple weeks, I hope), I'll see if the 40s are still online and do an exchange.<br />The ones I ordered are the low-cut pointy booties in semi-patent black. They look identical in cut to the Topshop patent booties, also made in Spain, that I wore -- literally -- to death last year. Those are 41s, and they are a bit loose, but comfortable with thick socklets underneath. I know they are not up-to-the-minute mid-calf booties, but I just adore the way they look with my skinnies. I wear a 41 in Australian shoes and 10-11 when I buy US shoes. I could never fit into a 9 1/2 US so my feet may be a half or full size bigger than yours old chic. I find that cheaper non leather made in China shoes are too small, even a 41, but for OZ brands such as Wittner, a 41 fits well. Do you know if this brand runs TTS or large/small? I wear a 41 (with some extra room) in most Topshop styles, but a 40 in Italian brands and usually a 9 1/2 American. Am I safe with the 41 or will they fall off my feet? </p>
