Here's the latest with the links to the previous threads:
http://goldenpig.lookfab.com/p.....2-lookbook
The most helpful tip--ponte! Get yourself some of those Vince Camuto stretchy midi tube skirts. I also bought three Target ponte pencil skirts that are stretchy.

Congratulations! What wonderful news. The others have got you sorted for style, but I would definitely watch Sara, Natalie's old threads, and Mani posted a few of her pregnancy looks, too. I think stretchy skirts or yoga type pants could do you really well. And I like the look of these jeans on you a lot -- they do look like BF jeans!

What glorious news, Kirti! I agree that you shouldn't buy ahead of your current stage and shape. I ended up looking like a older, portly man. I didn't pop out as much as thicken like a big oak tree. I did best in tunics and soft pants that were simple sized up from my usual.

Oh. an the pregnancy breasts stayed. Imagine becoming endowed for the first time at 38!

I suggest continuing the happy colors that are your trademark, and mixing things up with great accessories.

It looks like you got a lot of good advise. The main things learned were 1) the stages/your size change so fast that there is really no need to have a large wardrobe because your needs will change before you know it. 2) still shop for your current body. I tried to shop ahead and most of those purchases went unworn. For example I though buying big was the key but I actually lost weight in my behind/legs so I went down a size. I also got away with hardly any actual maternity clothing since so many of the styles out there will work as maternity. Good luck! I though dressing maternity was so fun because I could flaunt the belly instead of always trying to hide it!! My one suggestion to buy would be maternity/nursing tanks that you can find at Target, Motherhood etc. I wore them to death while pregnant and layered regular toppers. I lived in them after giving birth/nursing as they were roomy enough and I was so hot I could hardly stand to have anything else on (in December).

Thank you all for your wishes and advice! I am so glad to be back and would love to share my maternity/pregnancy style with you, although I'm sure I won't be half as stylish as Natalie was throughout her pregnancy!

Kristin - Thanks for the links! Patience's advice is really useful. I love the idea of having one or two nicer dresses/ensembles, they will definitely come in handy to go out/for an occasion.

Thanks rachylou!

Manidipa, thank you - those are great tips! How are you and your baby doing? And I do have sensitive skin, so will keep the panel'advice in mind.

Thanks cobalt blue!

Thank you Ik, I will keep that in mind. And I like the idea of stretchy pants pants!

Thanks Diana and Ramya! Great to talk to you guys again :)

IK made me remember - I like under belly pants. Pants always slide off me, pregnant or not, and pregnancy pants aren't built for belts. The full panel types just made it harder to hike my britches back up every 15 minutes. Maybe suspenders are the only true solutions. Or just to keep wearing dresses!

Congrats on the good news!

My total lifesavers during pregnancy were black ponte yoga pants from Old Navy. They fit underneath the curve of my stomach and looked suitably dressy with the right top.

Jeans got increasingly uncomfortable for me as I got pregnant, and I wouldn't buy "regular" jeans thinking they may fit -- because your waist won't change where you think it will. Even maternity jeans were not very comfortable unless the stomach stretchy part was cotton. Other materials don't breathe!

Kirti, I was just wondering about you last week! Were your ears burning on Thursday? BIG congratulations!

Those absolutely work as boyfriends to me eye, which is a look that gets a fun extra dimension to its hypothetical story on a mama I in fact deliberately chose the boyfriend style in my maternity jeans. My only advice is to consider duplicating. With presumably a smaller wardrobe, you will be getting a LOT of wear on these. Plus you will find them handy at least fir a month or two postpartum depending on belly fit and adjustability of waistband. Mine can be snugged back up with a buttoned secret panel and sits low on the hip (under bump), so I still wear them nearly 5 months later---my hip size/shape has changed enough to keep most of my pre-baby pants in storage still.

As for advice, I would look at getting a couple of longer belts you can use on the hip to define the under-bump curve in tunics and straight dresses. Also budget for new footwear and maybe a new jacket or two --- funny how shoulders and feet spread! And look in regular stores and not just maternity. For petite lasses, that often seems to work better.

For the rest, look at Natalie's blog and older blog posts and threads from Patience for ideas and guidelines.

I know you will keep looking fab!

Congratulations! How exciting!!!!

I think those can be total BF jeans, they look great on you!

Some threads to peruse:
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....e-pregnant
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ster-style

There are loads of basics to be found at the Gap, Old Navy, Target, Motherhood Maternity. Even A Pea in the Pod had some things that were reasonably priced.

Also, I highly recommend buying a few nice things that make you look and feel fab. I did find some very cute dresses at nicer maternity boutiques, so I always had a stylish fall-back outfit to wear out, when required. Usually some kind of dress that was easy to wear, yet chic'ish.

Finally, go back and look through some of Natalie's (goldenpig) WIWs. She was one of the most stylish pregnant ladies I've ever seen. ;-)

Congrats again!!!

Hey ladies! I know it's been a long time, but I'm back in desperate need of some advice.

Well first, here's some good news - I'm pregnant!!! I'm just 15 weeks, but hubs and I are already so excited!

But I'm feeling stuck stylewise. I'm in that phase where my regular pants are getting uncomfortable, but maternity clothes seem huge and sloppy looking. I'm wearing mostly dresses, the ones that were already in my closet, but I'm getting bored and looking to branch out now.

I tried on a pair of full panel Always skinny jeans at Gap today and obviously, they're oversized looking. I'm wondering if they can be passed off as BF jeans till they fit better? Or should I wait and keep wearing the few things I have?

Also, if anyone mamas have tips regarding dressing while preggo, I'm all ears!
