Feeling like you're dressing appropriately and respecting the occasion, but&nbsp; not worrying if you'll ruin your clothes, is part of that. So if they'd said "boots &amp; suits" or " grunge &amp; glitz" or something, that would have helped. Or as Suz said, it could&nbsp;have quite civilized flooring, with little grime expected, but the warning in the invitation does not let you relax.</p> <p>So ask around, but then just have the confidence to wear a spunky dress with leather boots that could be cleaned relatively easily.
