Columbia has some things that are pretty reasonably priced. I wish that they fit me better. I got a 3in1 from Marmot. It’s not quite true New England weight even with both layers together, but I was looking for spring fall options. I’d caution against only a down puffer unless it’s waterproof down. For cold windy Chicago you need a longer-than-jacket-length coat, gloves cap and warm scarf. My first order became unavailable and was cancelled. I have an 8-yr-old Tahari puffer bought at NAS, but it doesn't fit so well and my body has changed.&nbsp;I feel like the Michelin man in the Tahari, and it's a pain to zip up.</p> <p>I'd like a lightweight coat that can be stuffed into my carryon bag, that is also reasonably stylish.&nbsp;</p> <p>I think I'll try the red Sosken, but would like any other suggestions.
