A few years [decades?] back fashion advice was that mock turtlenecks were frumpy, old-lady, not to be worn. Either real turtleneck or crew.

So I'm chortling to read that mocks are big in fashion now. I'm tempted to try one. Who knows--my neck has probably gotten shorter too.

My neck is average - actually slightly long when did your test, Angie, but not slender. Higher necks work best on me if they are ruffled to soften the line, I think. And I don’t have the bust for deep v-necks. High five on button-downs indeed!

I have noticed turtle necks here even for summer. Not my favourite so I am avoiding. A deep vee is one of my favourites although in winter they can be cold and in summer they can not provide sun protection - and they can be a bit flashy at work!! But I do like them a lot.

I'm seeing loads and loads of Vs. Not good on me. I'm passing.

High necklines are great for my very long neck. I love them!

HIGH FIVE on the button downs. I'm back to wearing playful versions with a vengeance. Classics FTW.

I have noticed that too. Find a few called crew necks, but they certainly are not the same as what used to be crew neck. They are lower and I am finding them difficult to find a proper necklace to wear them with.

I love mock necks more than turtlenecks, although a vneck looks better on my short neck. Deep vees mean tank top underneath.

Yep, there is definitely and abundance of high necks and mock necks. My aging giraffe neck is grateful

I have been in the market for tops and dresses for awhile, but I am finding that necklines this season seem to mainly be high turtle necks or mock necks, OR deep V’s. Neither of these are my favorites, so I’ve been sticking to button-downs.
Is anyone else noticing this? I know that turtlenecks are also seasonal, but it seems to me with the 90’s and 70’s trends, there aren’t as many choices in between high or low right now.
