I like them! It sounds like you have a similar foot to mine. I have low volume as well, so a lot of sandals look "baggy" on me.

They look really nice! And sound comfortable, too. Yes, the balance is key -- sometimes it's not the height at all, but the way the foot is positioned on the shoe. Makes a big difference. I hear you about the light colour and wonder if it would be possible to dye these lighter if you wished. Vix had some experiments with dyeing shoes light metallic and they worked!

Here are new Naya wedge sandals that fill my need for a lower heeled wedge than one I’ve got. ( pics 1-2)

Last year I bought these other Clarks nude wedge sandals. (pic 3) These were my “gateway” footwear to trying a bit of heel with cropped trousers, and also to go with the very occasional time I might wear a casual skirt or dress without hose. I love the look of the Clarks, and they are actually rather comfortable in most ways, and run narrow, but the heel is 3” and so that height plus something about the pitch makes me just a bit unsteady. I have to walk carefully and my stance is a bit off. Therefore I tend to feel like I’m playing dress-up. While I might tolerate mincy footwear if desperate for a very special occasion dress, it’s a no-go for what is basically a casual item.

I thought I’d show these Naya’s because they ticked off several fussy-feet boxes for me and might for someone else, too.

The heel is actually more than I really want—it’s more like 2.5 “ instead of 2—but somehow the balance is much better. It had to have enough strapping in the forefoot to cover the bunion areas but be soft and not make that worse. I have long but “low volume” feet and often can’t fill up sandals or get a snug fit in the midfoot to heel area, but these fit well. Lastly, I wanted them more refined than a chunky sport wedge, so I like the heel material.

I still love the Clarks’ lighter color and I’m not sure I am ready to adios them, even though I should. Re: Shannon’s post, I may have “settled” for the Naya when I’d love something a bit paler, maybe more dressy, and a half inch lower. But they are a good “fit” to wear right away and I don’t feel the need to keep hunting for this item.

As an aside, I also tried the Leith zipper shirt.. It was a no-go for me, but might work for an Urban Warrior. For me it was heavier than expected, longer and the zippers were too much for my frame and not able to make it work-trendy with classics. It made a potentially fun outfit tryout over slim pants + flats but I would not be able to wear it much.
