There are about a million combinations of exact weather with outfit silhouette, colors, and vibe for the day. So I'm always looking for, and occasionally find, just the right piece to fits a specific slot.</p> <p>- The cognac suede jackets might work with both jeans and dresses. I love that the AllSaints piece is truly short enough for my waist (18" back length), so it might work with full-skirt dresses. But it's also way more than I've ever spent even for a workhorse coat. The Treasure &amp; Bond jacket is a critical several inches longer but is more budget friendly.</p> <p>- I'm curious about Barbour pieces, as a heritage British brand. And white is becoming my winter neutral of choice. It probably will be too blocky, though.</p> <p><b>Tops<br /></b>The last couple years I've been building up my pretty top collection, for wear with winter fitted skirts or jeans. Polo collars are flattering on me, and the cropped lengths might play nicely with skirts even without tucking. The Treasure &amp; Bond puff sleeve is an outlier but just might work tucked in, if it's not too puffy under the arms.</p> <p><b>Dresses<br /></b>The two dresses are long shots. The teal Eliza J is likely too short on me and the Julia Jordan isn't my best print; but sometimes I just love a dress when it's on, so I'll likely try them.</p> <p><b>Hats, and a Bag I won't buy<br /></b><b></b>I wear hats regularly for my work walk breaks. My favorite is a blue mesh-type that's very similar to the pink packable one; it's stiff so doesn't flap in the wind but breezier than a straw. The pink would go with more outfits! And I have a brown felt for winter but wouldn't mind another. I'm picky about hats, so I may not end up keeping either, but will try them.</p> <p>The malachite acrylic bag is simply adorable. It looks so fun and vintage, like marbled lucite.
