Thanks for the reviews! I will know go look at my Bobeau Fleece cardigan to check the quality. I'm already on the fence about it but haven't looked at it closely. I am waiting for the Halogen V neck with polka dots and I hope it will work better for me.

That dress is super cute and fun! I hear you on the Bobeau. I steer clear of it. Once I bought a cardigan in 2 colors and the quality was absolutely horrible! One was a charcoal gray and worked really well in my wardrobe. I've never completely been able to replace it with quite the right thing.

Glad the Betsey Johnson worked for you! I returned mine because it was a bit tight on the hips and thought sizing up would have made it too lose on the upper body. Wear it with leather leggings for me

I love the Betsey Johnson dress!

The Vince Camuto blazer is on my wish list. And based on your excellent review, I'd like to try one of the Halogen cardigans.

It's great to get these reviews. That dress is so cute. I love the juxtaposition of the flirty, girly style with the sober plaid.

Sorry to hear that some things didn't work but it is always good to hear why.

Nice to know you found some things that you love. I have been admiring that dress, it's really very nice looking. I tried the other VC jacket, it also ran big. And thank you for the reviews, I find them very helpful.

Cute dress. The cardigan is a lovely shade of green. I considered the Karen Kane dress earlier in the summer for a wedding. Love the Vince Camuto jacket. The models are always so tall--sometimes it's hard to tell about length until you try things on. I guess a smaller size wouldn't really help.

A few reviews of NAS items from a petite, curvy hourglass (5'3", generally a size 8-10).

Wins

1) Betsey Johnson Dress. Angie's notes on this say it works well for curvy petites, and I can confirm that it does! The cut of the skirt gives it great movement. Knee length on me. I bought this is size 10.

2) Halogen merino cardigan in forest green. Nordstrom seems to have something similar every fall, and since my old ones from a few years ago had started to give up the ghost, I was looking to replenish. This year's are just as nice as my old ones.

Fails (for me)

3) Bobeau fleece cardigan. Super soft, but the quality was *so* bad. A seam was unraveling along the back, and the fabric itself didn't seem to have been cut evenly at the raw edge along the seam--there was literally a bit that was jagged and coming detached.

4) Vince Camuto blazer. Size chart suggested I should get a 10, but that proved too large. Size down if you're between sizes. But the bigger problem for me is that the length was off. Wish it came in petites.

5) Karen Kane dress. I had high hopes for this, but the fit and fabric just didn't work on me. Falls open at the neckline, too tight across my stomach (and I'm quite hourglassy). The fabric is pretty thin and stretchy, so it shows every lump and bump. Sizing up would probably help some, but I'm not convinced that it would help enough.

6) The same Halogen cardigan, but in a different color. The dot print looked cute online, but somehow just odd in person. The dots are *large*. I think it might be less overwhelming on a taller person.
