It's great to see you post, BJ! These look like fab items! I'm am especially intrigued by that gray cowl neck top....I do hope you will post these in some WIWs. I have just figured out the self timer on my camera, so I can cut out the middleman (SO as photographer). It makes life much easier, in terms of WIWs :).

We're sweater twins -- I bought that Ella Moss sweater too! LOVE it! I think it will look good with my new zippered skinnies I posted earlier today...

It feels very weird to say this, but I like the sweater a lot more on me than I do on the model.

Oh, please post pics!!

Um, I mean if you'd like to post pics, we'd be happy to help you sort through your selections ;-)

The items DO look so different IRL. Things I thought were fab online were drab on me. Things I didn't even *see* online were just right for me.

I'm off to check out #3 online. (You know it's bad when you have your earlyaccess code memorized!)

Hubby, please snap some pics for us! If you feel a bit in the "doo-doo," then the forum works wonders for either validating or instigating a return. But that's just the rationalization; I actually just want to see those fab pieces IRL.

@ kari --blargh on the modeling. i'm headed out of town until next week. if i can persuade hubby (he snickers every time i mention ylf), i'll try to snap some pix.

@ una --i think it'll look better on you than on the model since you'll fill it out more and look less like an expensive sack.

What a great selection! I have been curious about that blouse (#3) since seeing it peep out from under a jacket in the catalog. I have scored a couple of sleeveless Classiques blouses on sale this year and wear them very often - the quality has been impeccable, and I hope that this one is every bit as good.

Now... do we get to see pictures of you modeling your loot, too?

hi, everyone...long time no post.

all this nas-ting prompted me to shop and post. i've been syc since last year allowing for basics replenishment (tanks) and some target collabs (hello, miss trish panther patent sandals).

but i've fallen off the wagon big time and have raced through my budget and then some.

this is what i picked up on my marathon appt yesterday...

1. mcginn boucle jacket--beige tweed with pink, blue and gold threads trimmed with pearls, thin gold chains threaded with black leather and multicolor fringe. i know, sounds tacky. but i fell in love.

2. vince leather jacket--buttery black leather with asymmetrical zip. the undersides of the arms and the sides of the bodice are made of ribbed wool. when completely zipped, the neckline is funneled. when completely open, the front drapes. 'spensive. still very undecided about how much use i'll get out of it since i have a more tailored black jacket with a collar that is about the same length but with a straight hem.

3. classiques silk bow top--sleeveless with a great print. primarily vertical splotches in cream, black, brown and bronze. i feel this is at a higher price point than i wish to spend but it is pretty and i've been meaning to segue away from knit tanks and tailored shirts for jacket underpinnings. most of the ones i like are much spendier.

4. ella moss cowl sweater--man made fibers but feels like cotton/linen blend. sleeves and back are a sweatshirt grey and the front is a deeply draped heathered/tweedy grey. slim fit everywhere except the draped front. love with an olive tank underneath.

5. converse laceless sneaker--canvas/cotton upper in charcoal. love--totally unlike anything i have. i may get it in navy as well.

6. miz mooz "kellen" knee high boots--distressed lightish brown. is this the donkey grey color??? strap with buckle trim at the ankle, two thinner straps at the top of the calf and outside zip decoration. the inside zip is functional otherwise i would need serious ankle therapy (waving to mo).

omg...there's more coming that i had to order. between the above and the stocking up on bras (srly--no new bras since 2006), i'm in deep doo-doo.

any feedback? yes, i know, the thread is worthless without pix of me wearing the items
