What Beth said. I size up in the shimeras and they stay put. My regular size does ride up a tad. I do get the roll up problem when pulling up pants, but I don't mind doing a quick adjustment after using the loo in exchange for no VPL and no ride up the rest of the day.

Ah! I get it now. Boy shorts for skirts. Ironic. :). But that does help to explain my issue with them.

I agree with Chadya. I wear the maidenform boyshorts and find they don't ride up. They (under really clingy things) show a little but over all don't have a problem with VPL with these.

Chadya, thanks for that recommendation. I live near an outlet too, so maybe I will give those a try.

Thanks everyone else too. I think I need to just try a lot.

I really love the Shimeras and they're often my first choice under dresses and skirts, with no ride-up. They do roll up under jeans and pants, though, as the fabric has a peach skin like texture that clings to denim when you're trying to shimmy your jeans up.

Even though I'm not a pear, I have perennial ride-up problems with boyshorts. I have the shimera and find they don't RIDE up so much as ROLL up. But they're not as bad as some. What makes them a problem for me is that even though I have a relatively long rise, they seem to come up quite high on me -- higher than my lower rise pants or even some of my mid-rise pants. And they end up feeling sort of "bulky" for want of a better word. In winter they're not so bad -- but in summer they're really too much.

So I'm giving up on that style for now in favour of some hipsters and no VPL other undies...I like the Jockey no panty line promise ones. NO panty line is a bit of an exaggeration, but they are honestly the best I have found, and lightweight, which I like, especially for travel. (They wash out in the sink like nothing and dry overnight.) The hipsters are actually cut a little bit like a boyshort, at least on me.

But I just ordered the Shimera high legs to try (though they may be too high in the waist, also) and the DKNY Fusion briefs. We shall see.

The Shimera ride up on me terribly, but I'm a pear. CK seamless boy shorts don't ride up, though they look identical to the Shimera.

Thanks Kate. I don't think I am in the "particularly small rear and thighs" category -- haha -- so this is really helpful!

These are Angie's (and many others') favorites: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/sh.....34/2880790

However, the sizing only goes down so far and so I've found that if you have a particularly small rear end and thighs then they can ride up But for the vast majority of people, they're wonderful!
