Go for it, Brooklyn! You wear skirts a lot more than I do, and I can think of several of yours it'd look brilliant with!

Firecracker, the last leather jacket was just shipped today, so expect comparisons on Friday or Monday. So far, I'm not feeling encouraged, but I'm still waiting on two of the four.

That is so unfortunate, because the top looks really gorgeous on you. Hemline hover is a brilliant and funny way to describe the problem, and I wouldn't put up with it, either. [Le sigh.]

Eagerly awaiting leather jacket comparisons.

Jenn, please don't hate me but I think I am going to try this top after all. I could wear it with high waisted skirts (no compromise for me because I have a few). It just looks soooo lovely and I am weak, weak.

Drat, that stinks about the blouse, but better to veto it now and return it so you can get something else, than keep an item that you will constantly fuss with.

Disappointing! It's so pretty on you. I was this close to ordering that blouse but decided against it because it was not an Angie's pick and there were no reviews at the time. Such a pretty colour. But (fingers crossed) there seems to be more of that colour around this year so you will find something better.

I echo everyone above. The color is beautiful on you but you did well in returning it.
I am done with fussy clothes for the most part but will wear a cami if needed.
In this case for me it would be the fact that the shirt has to be constantly pulled down.

Suz, true! If I wore a cami regularly like Angie does, it wouldn't be an issue! I don't, though, and I run hot, so it would be frustrating to have to.

I congratulate you. I know it is disappointing that the gorgeous blouse did not work out. However, I typically don't discover issues like this until the tags are off and I can't return an item. So congratulations on figuring out the problem now. I wish you great luck in finding an even better replacement.

I am sure you're making the right decision to hold out for better. I suppose if you wore a cami all that time it might be okay -- but clothes that require fussing from the start usually remain a disappointment.

UGH!!!!

gradfashionista, there is no size up, so that's not an option.

And I have pretty much decided that I am done with making concessions to my everyday clothes. So no constant adjusting, no tape, no buying something (special bra, special shoes, etc) just so I can wear a certain item. If it doesn't work as it comes, or with a reasonable, permanent alteration, then it doesn't work.

What a gorgeous top, and what an annoying problem. In theory, you could tape it each time you wore it, but your love for the top would have to eclipse that kind of annoyance. How much longer is the size up from yours? It might be worth ordering to see if you could make it work with a bit tailoring, depending on how much you like it.

Pretty blouse… but you are right to send it back. That sort of fit issue would drive me crazy too. Like you, I have had my share of disappointment with Nordstrom tops. They are just not cut right for my tall, large frame body. Hoping that one of the cognac leather jackets will be a "keeper" for you. Love your choices!

My NAS items are trickling in, one at a time. I'm still waiting to have all the leather jackets in hand for comparison, and for my size up on the CE blouse, but in the meantime, I have zero keepers from the sale items. Here's another from the "no" files.

I had high hopes for this BP blouse. It's a beautiful color, not made of polyester, and styled to fall like a partial tuck without having to mess with actually tucking. The fabric and drape are both lovely.

And I loved it when I first put it on...see photo 1.

Then, I raised my arms, just a little... photo 2.

I'll spare you from what happens when I put my arms entirely over my head (it wasn't pretty), but the worst for me was what happened when I put them back down... photo 3. The blouse never fell back into place--and that bit of belly showing was at such an angle that I couldn't tell it was happening unless I was looking in the mirror.

I was a belly dancer. I will happily wear a bikini top, even when I'm not at my ideal weight. I don't even mind baring my stretch marks. I'm not opposed to a bit of intentional belly exposure by anyone at any size.

That being said, this would DRIVE ME CRAZY. I'd be adjusting and tugging and rearranging all day, and I'd never be quite sure I had it right. So back it goes. Alas.
