I am sending back the Timberlands as well. Didn't work for my orthotics foot (had two surgeries on it) but ever hopeful! my daughter would love these, however. But she has a smaller foot than mine or I'd just pass them on. I have a very narrow foot so these fit well in that department but not so well in the toe or arch.

Sorry they didn't work for you, but great that you know your feet so well! I've got the Timberlands on order as well.

These did not work for me, but were good to try.
Neither were spot-on for fit and therefore not for comfort. I was trying them to see if they blended comfort shoe-athletic shoe foot comfort with
style, thinking about vacations, walking tours and such, though not "weather shoes". The Cole Haan ran narrow in the toebox relative to the vamp, which is opposite of my feet. I didn't like the unstructured floppy leather fit in the heel, same as one reviewer, or the way the white sole runs up the front toe, which skewed them further into sneaker territory, but those would have been lesser issues. Just did not make my feet go "aahh" .
The Timberland also was more tapered than I can wear for all-day stomping around, and the material not as ? pliable as I wanted, and I thought the overall look was too flat and rain-boot like--not able to groove on the white sole. That may also be a feature of my foot and leg proportions, needing a size 9 in these.

Anyway, no pain no gain! I have seen a bit of a wardrobe hole for "travel footwear", which I still think is most likely to be found in "sporty-luxe" or requires careful capsule-building around the shoes.
