Angie; your question about my favorite pants silhouette had me thinking. I'm a very difficult fit in pants because I have almost no caboose so I get big horizontal folds in back below the seat even if I try to hike up the back waistband. Thus, my favorite pants are those that are 10/10 on fit which usually means they also flatter. High/extra high waistline pants tend to work best on the back side, but that generally means wide legs. Since I run cold wide legs are a huge challenge even with knee socks or I need to wear boots! Otherwise, I mostly like slim straights due to the thorough brainwashing in my youth to want to look taller and slimmer. Hard conditioning to escape!

DonnaF, I'm blanking. What is your favourite silhouette of pants and jeans to wear?

Thanks for the helpful reviews! Excited to see you sport your new stash :)

I always love your reviews and hearing about your thought process on the orders. I think the blue shirt was a good choice and glad Land's End worked out for you.

I am fascinated byyour verdict on the W&W slim pants. I tend to find straight legs difficult, too. Not all straight legs. There are some -- whether slightly on the wide, e.g. stovepipe side or slimmer, more of a cigarette style -- that work -- the second type possibly because they taper a bit? But classic straight jeans look yuck on me, and same with some pants. Whereas wide legs look ghreat. I don't have a theory about this except maybe my legs are weird, which sounds like your theory! But I suspect it has something to do with proportions. Hmmmm.....

Finding the right red shoe is always a challenge. I think the Bernardo flats are very cute. I would like to see them on someone's foot, just to see where that strap lands.

Great choices, Donna. I like how you are being picky, patient, and practical (if I've got the 3 Ps right). Thanks for the details!

I can see the crisp button down fitting seamlessly into your wardrobe. It looks very you! I hope the Mary Janes work--red seems more your style than the mahogany. Shame about the WW trousers--they look like they'd be fantastic. I wanted to try the wide leg in petite but they were sold out (although I don't have great luck with that brand...) Great reviews!

Nothing like a sweater in the correct (Petite) size! This is Lands End via Nordstrom which I've never tried, but in the past Lands End cashmere has received decent reviews. Fits better than my Nordstrom sweater. It is a decent navy, not one I'd swoon over but definitely not an ugly navy.

I settled on the blue striped shirt vs the red striped one because the blue has thin black stripes in addition to the white ones so it goes really well with my hair. Who would have guessed?

The Bernardo Mary Janes are both darker in person. Well, the red ones are described as "dark red" and the brown ones are "mahogany" so I shouldn't have been surprised. I just ordered the red ones in a half size larger, but maybe the impulse came from wearing socks while trying them on. I think they actually run TTS.

The W&W trouser legs looked a little funky on me, but that's about my legs and not the trousers; it is a tough style for me to wear. I tried on last year's W&W wide leg trousers in nearly the same color and had to admit they look so much better.

The VC suede loafer is a pretty brown (which I can't really use) and might stay on narrow heels but doesn't really work over my bunion.

The W&W jeans run very long even in Petite. They were fairly flattering but both have a lot of stretch, and I decided I much prefer cotton heavy jeans. Plus, I don't really need blue jeans.

I also ordered the workshirt which never made it into Finds. Nothing extraordinary, and maybe I would have kept it if it were a Petite and not the same blue as another shirt I own.

I'm still waiting for the black polo sweater dress to be shipped.

Hope this helps someone! Just ordered DH's Hokas which came back into stock and now gotta help him decide which jeans to keep and get hemmed.
