Great choices!

I was going to suggest trying the shirt dress a size up too... but since Angie did I don't need to :) Getting more room across the shoulders, and possibly the waist hitting closer to wear it should, are both things you might get with a larger size.

Have a great trip!

Try a size up on the plaid dress, Windchime. Mine is roomy...and it's VERY comfy. Don't give up yet.

Order a size up on the striped dress too. We FINALLY have length and need to bless it!

YAY. Waving at my RM shootie twin. Aren't they really fun shoes :)

More YAYS for the skirt and pullover. You're already having a fab sale.

My eagerly-awaited NAS order finally arrived yesterday. Between work and getting ready to leave at 4 a.m. tomorrow for for a two-week trip, there’s been no time to take pics. ( I promise I will when I return!)

But I still wanted to report...

The 1901 shirtdress, in navy plaid, is beautifully constructed! Length and proportions are good on tall me except...I was dismayed that it felt a bit constricting across my shoulder blades. Unfortunately, that’s probably going to be a dealbreaker for me because of how I need to move my arms for keyboard playing and conducting. The fit everywhere else was fine, except the waist hit a little higher than my actual waist. But I think the next size up would be too big in general. I had high hopes for the dress and am disappointed it’s probably a no. Again, it’s SO well made!

I ordered two black skirts to try, by Vince Camuto and by Halogen. After doing a sit test in each, I preferred the Vince, although the slit in the Halogen is a nice detail. The Vince had better coverage while sitting. I haven’t yet decided for sure to keep the it; I first need to try some stylings when I have more time. Also, I might want to keep looking for a pencil skirt instead.

A happy surprise was the Caslon roll neck sweater, in burgundy. A lot of the online reviews say it was too big and baggy. I found it wonderfully soft, it fit me really well, and I love the detail on the bottom back of the sweater and on the back of the collar. I also loved the particular shade of burgundy and the fact that the sweater has some wool in it, for added warmth. Definite keep!

The Minkoff Koso booties, in black, are gorgeous! They are very shiny, more than they appear in the store photo. I was concerned, with the pointy toes, they’d be too tight, but they felt surprisingly comfortable. Again, I need to spend more time in them to be sure, and I also need to think how to style them. They could be a very fun wild card.

The 1901 knit dress was a no-go on me in my usual size. I might order it up a size. Again, an item with excellent quality and fun details!

So at this point, I’m definitely keeping the Caslon sweater, probably keeping the Minkoff western-style booties, and possibly keeping the Vince
midi skirt. And I’ll try the 1901 dress in the next size up. I may yet order a couple other things from the sale to try.
