My feet are slightly wide through the forefoot, but not through the heel. I have pretty good luck with regular width European shoe brands, if that makes sense. Actual wide width shoes are often too wide through the heel, or made for feet that are thicker (top to bottom) than mine. Anyway, I'm between a 9 and 9.5, and tried on both.The 9.5 felt a bit sloppy through the heel, but would have been fine with thicker socks. The 9 was a perfect fit on my (slightly smaller) left foot, and just a touch snug on the right, but in a way that it seemed likely to stretch with wear.
