Problems I have encountered as a shopper interested in petites is that petites are only offered in a fraction of the styles. I constantly find something I’m interested in, only to find it isn’t offered in petite sizing, in store or online. It would be helpful if the store could flag collections that include petites. Two exceptions are BlankNYC regular size toppers have worked well and Kit from the Cloth petite denim jacket. But I have few other Nordstrom purchases except scarves. In past NASs, I have had such good luck with coats and blazers - they have been one of the main reasons I have shopped the NAS, since they tend to be "big-ticket" items. When it comes to coats, jackets, and cardigans I try to only buy petite. They are usually bigger $$ than my other purchases and, as you said, much harder to alter. Of all the clothing types that are difficult, if not impossible, to alter to fit petite sizes, jackets and coats are at the top of the list. I find this quite frustrating and wonder if this is a trend towards reduced availability of petite sizes in general at Nordstrom. </p>
