I go nuts with fitting bottoms. They are quite soft and hug the leg closer to the body but I don't feel they are so tight that I would only be able to wear them with long tops. I was looking for a dual pair of pants, one for flats and shorter tops as well as tucking into boots.</p> <p>I did order my regular size. I wear a 27 in the J Brand, as well as Joe's jeans, and Lucky jeans. So I consider myself pretty consistent. In other brands, I am usually a 4. At first I couldn't see any difference between the Kut and the J Brand. I had to compare side to side. But I guess now I sort of see that the leg of the J Brand doesn't have quite as much material and seems to hug the leg better. And I don't mind investing in a pricey pair, if they are going to last and last and last. I have another pair I ordered in blue on it's way, so it looks like those will have to go back too.</p> <p>2-J Brand Skinny Leg<br /> I'm glad these are going to work. And not having to shorten is such a treat! I'm also happy to hear good reviews on these too. I have a pair of "jeggings" from J Brand that I wear all the time, and they earned my undying loyalty because they always fit. You could probably shorten them, but if you are lazy like me then just distribute the bagging more over the bottom of your leg so that it's not all at the ankle.
