rabbit, they are both Munros. One pair is a gray with a brownish tinge and the other pair is black. Obviously, the colors are hard to see since the lighting in my hallway is so terrible.

rabbit and viva, I might consider a new pencil skirt. I don't currently have one as the ones I owned in the past were difficult to bike in. But maybe I can find one that works on a bike. It's probably worth a try!

viva, thanks for putting those links there. Very helpful!!

I am no help, I like both booties and I am known to duplicate footwear because finding a pair that truly fits and is truly comfortable is so tough to do.

I love both pairs of booties on you too. Slight preference for the Munros if you only want one brown pair (since the color and heel height is fairly similar, they might duplicate each other? I'm assuming the Munros you have are dark brown, but if they are black, than they would be distinct enough.)

I also love the blouse with the boyfriends. Not feeling it as much with the black skirt unless it's tucked all around and belted, or unless it's with a skirt that tapers more as Viva suggests.

Haha! Adelfa, again! This time with a skirt. The semi-tuck works because she is limiting how much is peeking out, and because it is a narrow skirt. Do you wear tube skirts or pencil skirts? It might work better. I might try mine with my tube or pencil (the only two skirts I own).

So ... I searched "Pleione Split" on the Forum and came up with several WIWs from Adelfa, who loves this top! She typically wears it in a semi-tuck. Definitely search to see. I also really like it here with a cardi over it. It's a slim cardigan and slim bottoms, which works really well. I know it doesn't help the skirt issue, but it is a start with styling.

Anyone else have this top? I would love to see more ideas on styling it with a skirt for work.

Jenny, I would definitely semi-tuck with the BFs. And maybe with all pants. It's the semi-tuck with the skirt, especially when the shirt has volume, that I have difficulty with. (But I am not a volume top-and-bottom gal.) I think I just naturally want a more polished look with a skirt.

Both these booties look great! I think the Robyns are more versatile so if you can only have one, choose those.

I also love the blouse but second Viva's styling suggestions for it.

I like it all! I also have the munros on order so it's nice to see them on you. I love the blouse on you - great colour. I think it looks fab semi-tucked with the jeans and with the skirt. Not so keen on it fully tucked and with the blazer. Otherwise it's awesome.

viva-- would you tuck the split-neck all the way in even with the BFs? Or just for the dressier work outfits?

As far as sizing on the suede booties, I would say pretty normal sizing. I have narrow feet. But I wear orthotics which take up quite a bit of space. So I ordered a Wide in my normal size. which is so funny to me since without my orthotics a normal width shoe can frequently be too wide. The laces are great because I can lace these up tightly so they fit just right. I think they will rub at the top of the bootie as I break them in but hopefully that won't last long as the suede is really soft.

I LOVE both pairs of booties -- with the BFs and with the skirts. They fit your ankles really, really well. Great with bare legs and will be great with tights in the fall/winter. If you can, I would keep both because they are so different.

I love the split-neck top too (I just received one too) and it is a great color on you, but I don't love it with that particular jacket /skirt combo. Maybe a more fitted jacket? I am not sure. Maybe someone with more experience with that top will chime in. And I will be watching, because I need to style mine for work too.

Also, without a topper, I would be inclined to tuck the shirt all the way in but drape it loosely. (Like 5, but maybe with an interesting belt?) For me, the half or semi-tuck without a topper, for work, doesn't always work. It probably depends on your environment. If a cool, younger, hip kind of place, do the semi-tuck without a topper. If more conservative, then tuck it in.

PS Kind of tempted by those lace-up suede booties - how was the sizing?

Yay on both pairs of boots fitting! I really like them both, but do think, if you only keep one, the Robyns would probably be easier to wear with skirts.

I love the color and fit of the top too. It definitely works tucked into the skirt. I like it a little less with the blazer for some reason (something about the neckline), but that could just be me, and I could see it working great with another type of topper.

First off-- hi! I haven't been on in sooo long. I had a vacation and
lots of prep before that and catching up at work after that.

So, I made some orders from the NAS and I could use some opinions as I decide what to keep. Sorry I look so angry in some of these photos-- it was taking a lot of concentration to get the camera to focus and as you can see, even with that concentration I wasn't always successful.

General note re: booties. I wasn't expecting both pairs to work on my difficult feet, but they do. With my orthotics!!! I was hoping to pick one pair of booties. Is that possible? Ack! All opinions would be helpful.

Photos as follows:
1-2: Munro Robyn Booties. I love the way they look with my BFs!

3-4: Munro Kara Booties. I love the way they look with my BFs!

5-6: Split Neck Blouse (Shown in all other photos too) . I like it but I need work wear more than I need casual wear. My most common work outfits include midi skirts with weird waists that would make the half-tuck difficult. So I tried it tucked with and without a blazer. What do you think?

7-8: Munro Robyn Booties. Are they too clunky on me with a skirt? I'm thinking they would likely be more conventionally flattering with black tights.

9-10: Munro Kara Booties. Not a fan with a skirt. Maybe with tights?
