How great the (small) jacket is on you! And the extra horizontal line looks nicely devil-may-care to my eyes. Maybe you'd like it more with paler jeans?

I like the smaller jacket, and love the bow blouse on you too.

Suz -- yes, it's low risk, isn't it? I can try wearing it the way it is and then alter it later if I can't make peace with it.

I actually like the length of this in this shape of top and considering your height, but if you are a sewist you could probably create a curved hem if you prefer that.

Thanks Suz! I am leaning toward keeping the small moto jacket, after having worn it around the house for a bit. There's a much greater portion of the year when I'd wear a jacket like this over a sleeveless top or a t-shirt than when I'd need a sweater underneath. Ideally the shoulders would be a *tiny* bit looser, which was my initial concern, but in wearing it for a bit (and assuming "driving position", with my arms out in front -- I have a 30 mile commute each way to work, so driving comfort is important!) it is actually fine. The small has an ideal fit in torso and sleeves, whereas the medium is a bit sloppy through those areas.

Thanks for the input on the sweater coat. It does work well buttoned too, but I like the open look best. This will be an unusual piece in my wardrobe, for sure, and it's rare for me to find a long sweater or cardigan that seems like it could work at all. I think the weight of this one helps it out in that regard -- it is kinda like a coat!

Looking at the photos I posted again, I see that the tie-neck blouse is really almost the same length as the NYDJ "apples" blouse that I happened to be wearing in other pictures. The straight hem of the tie-neck blouse is creating a line of division on my body in a place I'm not used to seeing one, though. Hm.

Wow! You are having a great sale! And you make it all look so cool.

The jacket is fabulous. It is difficult to judge the differences between the small and medium from here, so I would say do a bit of stretching of your arms, crossing them in front of you. Put on the type of top you'd be likely to wear. And consider the sleeve length -- is one better? And did you try them both done up?

I love the big sweater on you as well -- very dramatic. Did you also try it done up? Fun item. In shape it is similar to one I got at the sale last year. I wasn't sure about it at first but it turned out to be a real workhorse for me.

The blouse is also really pretty on you. I love that shape of top and this one seems to work for tall women in particular; I think it's the one Stayfit also got, or at least she got a NYDJ blouse.

I love the BLANKNYC moto -- couldn't score the green, but the black would probably be more versatile anyhow. Which size is better? I'm barefoot in the size M (1-2), and wearing boots with sizes S (3-4). I'm inclined to keep one or the other. Couldn't really layer under the S but in my climate that's not the end of the world.

Next: Caslon red sweater coat (5). I think the fit is correct, but this is a different style/silhouette for me, so I want input. I like it but I'm not sure if it's flattering. FWIW, if you are sensitive to scratchy/itchy fabrics, you would not like this! It doesn't bother me at all -- I have merino wool sweaters I wear next to my skin all the time and this is about the same.

Next up: Halogen tie blouse (6-7). Angie recommended this for apples which I am not, so I had modest hopes. But I like it! I tried this in both this and the blue flower colorway, both in size S. The blue one was too big but this one fits well. My main question is the length. Too long? What do you think? I could hem it myself, no big deal really.

I had a few other duds -- Munro Drew booties (too loose in ankle, and I didn't really love the look on my foot), NYDJ blouse (tight arms but overall pyjama-like ambiance - not what I was going for), and a non-NAS sale blazer that was waaay too short in arms and overall length.

I'll put my winners in a separate post. I am still waiting on a few things too.
