From the back it was even worse, sitting there on top of my flat dupa in the most unflattering way. </p> <p>If you have a great dupa, it's a great jacket. I placed my order!!<br /> To my tremendous joy, they restocked the Chanel-esque jacket in my size, so I was able to get almost everything! I added two scarves to the order discussed above for a total of eight purchases. The only thing I didn't buy is the purple leather jacket (don't kill me)!! I was starting to have doubts about the ruffles, plus that one item alone was adding nearly $100 to my duty fees. Dropping it from the purchase shaved more than $300 off my total. If I'm determined to get a leather jacket, there is a great store here in Canada (Danier, for those who care) where I'm certain to find something.<br /> So there you have it! Verdict: The knit of the Halogen is MUCH sturdier than the (unlined) Ann Taylor one I have, plus it's lined, and knowing you like those classic streamlined shapes I'd say you have to get this one. </p> <p>I don't know if you have to order in one swoop for various reasons or if you can break up your order while you ponder, but luckily (?) for my budget the skirt was sold out in my size in 2/3 colors. [Yes, it may cycle back in etc and I am wait-listed so I can re-evaluate.] So I would give serious thought to rounding that one up ASAP.</p> <p>2) The purple blazer: I have two concerns about this one. Joy already mentioned the tiered ruffles across the back; though I love the front, I wonder if the back will be too "frou-frou" for you. Next I'd consider the turquoise bag (It looks like a deep turquoise, almost teal on my monitor), the grey boyfriend blazer, and the white shirt. The purple jacket is gorgeous but quite fitted and the ruffles in the back make me wonder if you can wear it under a coat when it gets colder. Four or five rows of ruffles go across the back from about waist to the hem (high hip) and will definitely draw the eye to that area from the back. If Angie has seen it, however, it's probably a fab detail.
