Lisa, thank you so much! That is soooo helpful to see how these look on a person. I love them on on you, by the way.

Annagybe, I'm glad you found another boot that works well for you.

Lisa they look better on you than they did on me. I think I'm going to return them.
I just bought a greyed brown boot from Barneys which is far more unique.
If they hit me at the knee or higher I woulld have battled the fit issue.
Thanks for posting.

Hi Sparky-Yes here you go, ignore the outfit itself. For reference, I'm 5'3" and what makes me short is my legs. I can wear petite bottoms but not petite tops. These boots hit me in the middle of the knee. I prefer them uncuffed to show off the back deep v.

I saw them in the NAS catalogue and fell in love immediately. If they are comfortable for you and you think making a bit of extra effort every day to put them on and take them off won't drive you bonkers, then go for it.
(I have a slouchy pair of pull-on Frye's and they did stretch, no problem getting them on and off)

Lisa, would you be able to post a pic of you wearing the boots? I am 5'4" and am wondering how these would look on me. I was supposed to preselect yesterday, but DD came down with strep of all things, so I had to cancel and have yet to re-book. If

I have the light tan Frye's in the online catalog. I bought them last year. At first I thought it was a mistake, they were hell to get on. After the first wear, no issues. Now I like them a lot. They cover some of my knee, but I'm 5'3". I have seen them cuffed too, although it is not my preference to wear them that way.

It depends how much you like them, Anna. They will stretch. I did not find those Frye boots comfortable - lots of chin digging. You did not find that I'm assuming!

I've found Fryes to be inconsistently comfortable. If you don't think they're KILLER = pass.

I am still searching for Fryes that fit me, but I have tried on a bunch, and am always reading buyers' reviews. From all my review reading it sounds like Fryes eventually stretch a little to make slipping one's foot in easier, but you may want to check out some Zappos reviews yourself to see what people say. It sounds like the NAS boots are narrower in the shaft than your other Fryes. Have you found your other Fryes have stretched some?

PS. I would wait till you get the boots home, then try putting them on and off a bunch to see how it goes. Great thing about Nordie's, you can change your mind and return them.

So I preselected the other day and ordered the Frye boots in the light tan color that's in the catalog.
Only problem is that to get them on I had use the plastic bag trick where you put your foot in a plastic bag to get them on. They were fine once I got them on.
Now I'm wondering if I should get them. I have other Frye boots with not problems.
In the fall/winter/spring I commute in boots and change into scrubs at work. So that means I would be putting them on twice a day.
The salesman said they'd stretch out.
Also although the look over the knee they're not. I'm 5'8" though.

Anna
