I vote yes on the top and shorts in the last picture (and I vote rolled shorts). The first two I would return. The first is cute but it is confusing me as to how tobest to style it; its length in front is not quite cropped, not quite normal length either. The pink (?) shirt has other issues like puckering so that could turn it into a quick orphan as well, but it sounds like you've already decided to return it.

I like the jams unrolled. Great colour match between them and the swoosh.

I think I'd like the first blouse longer. I feel maybe it's too short to tuck.

The puckering may be the very reason the peach shirt ended up at the Rack!

I like the sheer white shirt. The contrasting parts are sharp! I'll agree with not faux tucking this one though - as the front length is quite cropped as is.

Great cut out top! With the shorts rolled higher my preferred length on you, this makes one adorable outfit!

I think NAS is a tricky sale! Some things look good online, and not in person. Some look good in person that you'd totally ignore online. Then comes the YLF factor where lots of things look good on someone else . . . some one with different height/weight/body shape/coloring/etc. than you. I'd bet most of us have had more NAS failures than successes for the first few YEARS!!!

Thanks for all the suggestions! hahaha, The jeans with the first white blouse is my skinniest jean (although not super tight). I'll have to see if i can make it work better as I really like it. The grinning factor is tricky too. I'll post later of some other options for your help.

The peach blouse is strange, there was no pulling around placket in the store, but very wrinkled overall. After steaming, the pulling started to show. Probably quality of the fabric (but it feels really silky/soft/drapey). It will go back for sure.

Yes to the first photo in #2. I vote to pass on the first and second tops. I don't think the semi tuck works on the first one as it is short. You could play with faux tucking the third cut out top. Do the shorts have belt loops?

Another vote for the white blouse and cutout top! I think you found some winners, despite your disappointing NAS hunt.

I'm also a recent convert to the semi-tuck, but I've realized that a wider belt is key to making it work for me. I'd also consider tapering the Jag shorts a bit so the bottom opening was a bit narrower regardless of which length you chose. As Suz said, the length could look good either way depending on your preference and footwear.

I'd pass on the peach blouse--it's not in the same league as the white one or the cutout top.

And don't give up on NAS too quickly. I've found it really helps when I start to see some of the ladies on the forum wearing their finds. And I'll keep my fingers crossed that the bomber and quilted field jacket show up in your size in the near future.

I'm sorry Cloud :(. (((HUGS))). If you feel so inclined, keep checking back for sizes of the jackets you loved because things do come back into stock.

(Great to see you post again! I miss you).

Cut-out top is fun and flattering! And the blue shorts look great rolled shorter.

The first swingy blouse is refreshingly different, and fab worn with sleek bottoms. It's not the best top to semi-tuck though, because of the trapeze silhouette. Try half tucking a straighter top with drape, and add a belt with jeans or trousers.

And the pulling on the placket bothers me on the other shirt too. Pass.

:) xo

Shopping can be hard work sometimes, can't it? But we all have good days and bad days. Sorry your hoped-fore didn't work out. Sizes do come back into stock, though, so keep looking!

#1 is a beautiful blouse. I agree with Rae that a slimmer bottom would do it more justice.

I agree with you that there is something wonky with the placket of the peack shirt -- I would pass on that unless it is just a question of steaming. The shoulder fit looks a bit loose as well, though it is difficult to tell.

The cutout top looks really fun! I'd go for that, for sure. I think I prefer the shorts rolled, but that might depend on your footwear. With a wedge, I'd probably really like the length in 2.

Ah, boo. Sorry NAS wasn't your sale - hopefully there will be others. Maybe a Clear the Racks sale around November? If it makes you feel any better, my one NAS purchase was a pair of sunglasses - hardly winter garb.

I think #1 is a really cool blouse, but I'd like to see it with a slightly slimmer bottom. Skinnies that are tighter at the ankle, or a slim pencil, or even shorts. I really like 2-3 as is, too. The cutout top is fun and can instantly change to fit the color scheme.

So I went on my very first NAS hunt, as normally i just can't get in the mood of shopping for winter/fall when the temp is close to 90 degrees, but this time I'm way too tempted by Angie's NAS pick. :)

Sigh, what a disappointment. I tried on a few Trouve sweaters but they don't love me back.. And a few jackets I like are out of my size, especially the Mural quilted bomber (Angie's #1), and Vince Camuto quilted field jacket! I highly recommend this one.

Feeling disappointed, i headed to Rack for summer shopping.
Pic 1: Does this white shirt even work on me? Is it off? I don't know how to semi-tuck! It is short/hi-low and has side draping so are you even supposed to tuck? The peach shirt drapes well, but the pulling around the placket bothers me. Is it too oversized... i just want it fluid fit.

Pic 2: Fun cutout top, i put a blue cami. Jag shorts, which do you Fabbers think is better on me, rolled or not?

Any of these even close to 10? I'll settle for a 9. Any idea how to tweak for better? Honest feedback appreciated. TiA.
