A pretty color that will pair well with neutrals. Or you can add a print with a pink color in it. Or go bolder and pair with a contrasting color such as an orange shade.

Suz -- great ideas for possible colors to coordinate with the skirt. I will try your suggestions. I will also watch your WIWs for additional ideas. You might have been one of the WIWs that made me start to consider adding to my color palate.

Thanks everyone else.

I'm glad you are keeping it, Sterling. If you are longing to wear it, you will. First, you can wear it with the white blouse you have in mind. That sounds beautiful. Once you've taken the plunge, I'll bet you find a lot of things you'll want to wear with it. Suz, who wears fuschia beautifully, has given lots of fun options. Gray is one of them that came to my mind, too.

A cautionary note: I saw that skirt in person and IMO the fabric is different than earlier seasons of Nordstrom pencil skirts. It's a woven, not a knit, and more 'suity' and not quite as stretchy. Nice, but a bit more formal and not as versatile for me. Just FYI.

I have my eye on this one as well. I used to have a fuchsia skirt but it doesn't fit anymore. I had a hard time styling it but I'd like to believe I've advanced in my style knowledge. I was thinking of several tops it would go with so I think it should be ok. If you get it I'd love to see your styling ideas as inspiration.

I love it. If you have mostly black and white clothes, you should not feel at all bad if you only feel comfortable wearing it with white. Enjoy it!

I LOVE fuchsia and I find it super easy to wear. A few years ago I found a fuchsia knit jacket on sale at H&M. I bought it thinking I would never wear it. Instead, it became an instant workhorse. I am still looking to upgrade it but haven't found the right replacement.

Fuchsia looks amazing with navy, white, off-white, taupe, grey. You can wear it with black (although be careful to maintain a modern look with that pairing -- it can read as dated.) It works with many patterns. The brave could pair with yellow or orange or red or purple or green. It's just an amazingly versatile colour. I found my jacket was especially gorgeous with a striped Mariner sweater beneath (off-white with navy).

How do you intend to wear this skirt? For what functions?

Warning: Some people find it harder to wear bright colour on the bottom than on the top. I personally don't like bright coloured pants (on me) but I do like a bright skirt. Go figure. I guess the skirt shows skin. Note: I do love pants with pattern so it's not a worry about attracting attention to the lower limbs. Just one of those weird things.

Order it and play in your wardrobe!

Gorgeous with navy, too.

Or just keep it for white. I agree with Aubergine.

LOL. I own black and white and red. I really don't own many colors other than those. That was one reason I was excited about trying new colors.

White would look great. I own one gorgeous white blouse that would be perfect with this skirt. The white blouse is one of those that I have saved for the perfect outfit. I decided this was the perfect outfit. I am keeping the skirt. You helped a lot in that decision. Thank you for weighing in.

I love that color so much!

Honestly, if you only do end up wearing it with white tops, is that the worst thing in the world? That way, it would be getting worn rather than languishing in your closet, and it would be there for you to experiment with if you wanted to try wearing another type of top with it.

I think it would look good with black too, or a black and white print. What other colors do you own?

Again, I spend a lot of time viewing WIWs and this skirt is gorgeous on so many women in YLF. I am thinking of MsMary in particular. I am sure there are others that slip my mind at this moment.

Here is my problem. My wardrobe is built on core basics with the colors of black and white dominating. I feel "safe" in these colors. I nearly always gravitate to them.

So the fuchsia is a major departure for me. A departure I want to make. But for some reason, I am a bit intimidated. What if white tops are the only thing I can think of to wear with this skirt? Yes. I do own many white tops, but am I slipping back into my safety zone? I welcome ideas.
