Jackets are more fit- picky than blazers, because I never button blazers, so can tolerate a little bit of the mismatch I get by fitting the shoulders. But cozy soft jackets I often want to zip up. </p> <p>I would do the arm - raising/ moving test &amp; see if it rides up a lot &amp; needs constant tugging into place. We’re on the road again (traveling to NJ for my great niece’s first birthday party!) and when I get home I will try on the Pendleton with a heavier sweater and assess the fit again. I would expect it to be fitted at the bottom band, but not tight. And wow, that shacket will be super cozy for winter, and also, won't it be great in late winter (March/ April) when you start craving spring colours but it is still freezing cold with snow on the ground? That light blue will make it feel spring-ready though it is a cozy fall/ winter piece.&nbsp;</p> <p>Re the Pendleton - it <b>looks</b> fab, though maybe the sleeves are a bit long, but with the cuff, that probably won't be an issue. So I am torn. Your concerns about the fit make me wonder. The small didn't look super tight but I understand how any snugness around the hip can be a no in that style. So...I would wear it around the house a bit and deliberate. In terms of the looks -- it's terrific on you. I had to be quite stern with myself to return it.</p> <p>The shacket and the purse are both perfect. Now I’m between vacations and it’s time to make the keep/return decisions. So today I turned the AC up, put on some fall clothes, and tried on the jackets I purchased.</p> <p>First up is the Pendleton jacket. I really like it and it’s very warm, will be nice for cold autumn days. However, it’s a bit snug in the hips, even in the size M (pics 1 and 2). I think the wide band at the bottom is supposed to fit a little snug, but I still wish it was slightly looser. Pic 3 is the size S, the first one I ordered and sent back. It fit everywhere but the hips, wayyyy too tight. </p> <p>Not sure if I’m keeping the size M (pics 1 and 2). Your thoughts?</p> <p>Next is the shacket (pics 4 and 5). It’s generously oversized, warm, snuggly, and I’m in love with it! I could probably go down from a M to a S, but I’m not - I’m keeping this one. You’ll find me this winter in front of a fireplace all wrapped up in it with a cup of hot cocoa and a good book. </p> <p>Last is the Kate Spade purse. Another definite keep. It’s bigger than I thought it would be and I love the thick, comfortable guitar strap.</p> <p>So two keeps and one maybe. Now I just have to decide on the Pendleton jacket. </p>
