I feel a special love for my newer items, always, so that is part of the issue. I wear the new things like crazy at first and then usually less over time. I worry about wardrobe "churn" and still feel some guilt about passing along items that are in great shape but realistically, that is going to happen sometimes. Either an item doesn't turn out to be as useful to me as I thought, or even if I wear it lots it may not wear out before I tired of it. My wardrobe is probably medium sized now -- about 140 items (including shoes and coats but not gear or undies/ pjs or scarves) across all four seasons. Passing along somewhere between 25 and 50 items a year and purchasing that many new sounds like a lot to me, but then I was a person who never shopped before coming to YLF!  Lisa on "NAS Dark And Light" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/nas-dark-and-light#post-1706830 Tue, 02 Aug 2016 11:02:19 +0000 Lisa 1706830@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Suz-I notice every other year (or two years) I find a NAS where I hit it big and replace a lot of my wardrobe.  I am still striving to maintain a smaller wardrobe, which makes an overhaul a lot easier to do.  Last year's NAS I didn't pick up much, it was a big miss, so I was due this year.  Plus the colors and styles just seem to be working out for me.  I've really been wanted to update my wardrobe and things are just falling into place.  I don't think turning over a quarter or third of a wardrobe is that bad!  I know for me, I'm not someone who keeps many pieces (that are not sentimental) for a long time, I like to try new things.  Keeping my wardrobe smaller has made this easier to do.  The OTK boots are from the Bass outlet last year.  I stopped by my local Bass to see if they have them again this year, but the store still has the summer stock right now.  I had to put a think cushion inside for more padding but the toe box has a nice shape to it (no squished toes) and it fits my thighs perfectly. Shevia-Yes, the Blondo's are a keeper for sure.  The light color is not easy to find and they are really comfy. Jenny H-I am still struggling to get myself to return the Sorel's but my budget may decide that for me, after the rest of my NAS stuff arrives.  They are on the "maybe" pile right now.  They are such a fun boot!  The OTK boots, I recently picked up a black jean, I'll try pairing them with that.  Thanks for the suggestion! Angie-Wear the OTK boots, ok got it!  :)  It looks like I finally found some toppers to sport with them.  And I really like this blazer, I'm delighted to have found it among your pick list.  I will try pairing up the tan Sorel's with what's in my wardrobe, I think all the new green NAS pieces will work well with them.  It looks like everything that paired with the new mushroom Blondo's will also work with the Sorel's, yay!  The short Sorel's I am still smitten over, they are just so darn cute.  Why do we always fall for something we don't need?  I am such a sucker for boots!  The BP sweater is not the best quality, I bet one wash and it has to go in the donate bin.  Thanks for all your feedback on these items, it's very helpful. WEAR THEM! They look wonderful the way you styled them in #4 and #5, Lisa. The blazer is divine on you, because - you know - Queen Blazer looks amazing in all sorts of blazers.  Your tall Sorel boots are fabulous too. Can you wear then with the tan pieces you have in your wardrobe?  The short Sorels are wonderful. Keep.  I worry about the quality of that BP sweater. I vote return. The Caslon is fab. Regarding the thigh high boots, to my eye, they look better in photo 5 than in photo 4. I do like both the blazer and the tunic. I remember you were trying to reduce the size of your closet -- have you maintained a smaller wardrobe or are you choosing to make it a bit bigger again, or does all this wonderful buying fun simply mean that a lot of things presently in the closet are dated or worn?  (Speaking of which, I did some calculations recently and realized that I am turning over about a quarter to a third of my wardrobe a year!! They're sturdy yet sleek looking.  Lisa on "NAS Dark And Light" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/nas-dark-and-light#post-1706214 Mon, 01 Aug 2016 02:04:44 +0000 Lisa 1706214@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Hi, It took all weekend for me to find some time to dig through my latest box from NAS, an here are the results.  Some hits and misses here, I appreciate your feedback. #1-BP Deep Vneck Pullover This is not a superb quality pullover and it runs large, but it's a fun oversized pullover.  I was debating one of the other colors (grey, red, or tan) but in person they are rather warm toned so I'm looking at this black option for skinny jeans. #2-Sorel '1964' Premium Canvas Waterproof Wedge Bootie I need another pair of boots, like I need another hole in my head.  Yet I find myself struggling to return these, they are just so cute.  Excuse my ridiculous pose here, I'm just trying to show you how cute these Sorel's are.  But I already own two pairs of Sorel boots, I do not need a third.  Must. Back. Away. From. These. Booties.  But before I do, I couldn't resist <a href="http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/br-celebrity?replies=1#post-1706215" rel="nofollow">a little fun styling these in this post</a>. #3-This is the same pullover from the first photo, but I'm showing one of the pairs of Sorel boots I already own.  I actually never wear these, because I don't have anything to pair with them, which is sad.  I'm hoping all the green I've picked up from NAS will work well with these and I can start putting these blonde colored one's into a regular rotation. #4-Caslon Zip Back High Low Tunic This is a light weight knit, but has a lovely curved hemline.  Again I'm sporting a pair of boots I never wear.  These were an impulse purchase last year, I was so ridiculously happy that a pair of thigh boots fit my both muscular and petite length legs, that I pounced on them (they are Bass).  But I struggle to style them.  Does the tunic work? #5-Vince Camuto Zip Pocket Drape Front Blazer This is <a href="http://youlookfab.com/2016/07/22/nordstrom-anniversary-sale-coats-jackets-vests/" rel="nofollow">an Angie NAS pick </a>and is a lovely blazer.  In my attempt to style my thigh boots, does the blazer work?  #6-BP Long Sleeve Striped T I don't see this online anymore to add as a collection item to this post, but this LS t has a nice length to it for skinnies. #7-Caslon Stripe Wool Wrap Scarf and Caslon Long Sleeve Denim Shirt Again I don't see this olive version online to collect, but I did add the blue one to the finds below.  I think this color scarf will work with my new NAS additions.  The shirt has the same fit issue as the denim one did, but if you want a white denim shirt, it is rather lovely. #8- Caslon Long Sleeve Denim Shirt I'm just showing the denim shirt on it's own, for those gals with shoulders more narrow than mine. #9-Just for fun I was trying the scarf and striped LS T together.  Along with the Blondo Karla Waterproof Wedge Bootie.
