I actually don't need any day to day support now that I've had the surgery. What I do need, if I'm planning to do much walking, is some cushioning under the ball of that foot. There is no built-in cushioning in these, so I'll definitely make the decision based on how they fit with some squishy insoles.</p> <p>Suz, I'll be interested in your experience with them. I'm okay with it now. They don't wrinkle any more than my cotton ankle pants. I do notice a bit of wrinkling at the knee. I usually have that issue when pants/jeans are just too long for me. Hemming can fix the bottom length of course but it doesn't help when there is just too much pant from thigh to knee, if that makes sense. I tried on a blue pair that I liked the fit of, and got that size and one size up for safe measure.
