VintageDawn on "NAS assortment" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/nas-assortment#post-2214098 Thu, 05 Aug 2021 17:56:26 +0000 VintageDawn 2214098@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ quick update, mostly struck out with the NAS shopping but did score a couple items at the Rack :)    Slides were too big, boots were canceled.  The plaid treasure and bond and white 1state tops were both canceled and I wasn't inspired enough to stalk them.   The sling bag is def backpack material but perfect for outings with the kids and bigger than I expected, which is fine.  I've been liking the makeup remover reuseable clothes.  I washed them w/out incident a couple times, and I like I can use just one to remove stubborn eye makeup vs. several cotton ones.  They really are just small washclothes :)  Also I bought this 'not really a lipstick' lipstick on recommendation to get to the free gift level for Clinique and I love it, a very subtle little bit of color.  The Bernardo puffer jackets were both great fits, although a bit long in the sleeves. The quality seemed better on the longer blue one, than on the shorter red one, which was more fun.  I also was concerned that the fleece lining was going to quickly not look very good.  I ended up returning both of them because I managed to score a Teal shorter puffer at the Rack - huge thanks to the forum member who mentioned they were there (I've lost the thread).  It's a less substantial jacket than the longer one I had been looking at, but that's probably fine for my needs here in CA. And since I needed something else in my cart to get free shipping I tried out this Sam Edelman dress, which turned out to be a solid success, perfect altenative to the Julia Jordan NAS dresses I had tried. I'll wear it for an event in Wyoming in a couple weeks (i suspect I'll appreciate having the jacket).  I wasn't sure I'd like the ruching on the side but it's fine. I got the sling bag in the tropical print but might like the color you got more. I’ll see. I got the sling bag after someone posted it fits a water bottle. I may try it myself. I don't usually do high-impact stuff, and I also have an irrational dislike of pulling things over my head. The tighter, the worse. With the exception of a quick little bit of shopping I was able to do in person last week while I was close to a store, everything else is on it's way to my home Undergarments: So far the only I've purchased and seen in person was the Natori sports bra, which I didn't expect to love given the style - who wants to wear 2 sports bras at one time, but it's been a big win having endured several wears and washes already. I have a couple other styles en route as well as an strapless bra I've been in need of for a dress for over a year.  Tops: the tops are all wild cards for me b/c I usually need a petite top for things to not be too long but it seemed like they could be nice fall additions if any of them work out.  I expect the bell sleeves to be too long on the plaid top but it looked so comfortable.  Coats: We'll see if either of these work out, and I'm watching the teal bernardo one in case it comes back in stock in my size. Every year I think I should replace decade old my winter coast during the NAS but  this is the first time I've pushed past it being 100 degrees outside while I'm shopping :)  Shoes: I've done pretty well with the sofft in the past so trying the slides and boots in 2 different colors.  Thanks to KellyGirls pic for inspiring me to try the orange ones, and I also ordered in caramel.  The boots are really for an event, to try with one of the blue dress and another at home.  I suspect the heels won't be high enough but I kept being drawn to them so giving them a shot.  I didn't intend to coordinate them with the coat colors so it's funny to see them together in the collection.   Dresses: Trying out a couple of the Julia Jordan dresses for a fall performance.  I eliminated my fav, the sleeveless one in person, the sleeves, neckline and coloring were all not great on me, but at least I was able to confirm general brand fit/sizing was good. <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.nordstrom.com/s/julia-jordan-floral-tie-waist-a-line-midi-dress/5932764">https://www.nordstrom.com/s/ju.....ss/5932764</a>   was cancelled from my order but watching to see if it comes back in stock.   Accessories: Inspired by another post to try the sling bag, this could be perfect for being out with the kids, right now I've been cinching up my crossbody purse to be a mock sling bag.  I usually restock the PC exfoliator during NAS, and am trying the reusable makeup removers.  There were a few pants I would have loved to have tried but alas were already sold out, perhaps will come back in stock as the returns come in  As always appreciate everyone sharing their purchases and experiences to help find the winners of the sale!
