I might be on leather jacket double secret probation. Here's my justification: last winter I purged several old leather jackets, one of which was a gray jacket that just isn't my style anymore -- it was about 10 years old and I think was a Marshalls deal so I got my money's worth out of it. There are times when I want a neutral casual jacket, but I don't want to get the white one grimy and the black one feels too...black. This one is inexpensive and casual enough that I think I would get lots of wear out of it for years to come. I have a feeling that if I wait another year or so, grey jackets might not be so easy to find (they were IMPOSSIBLE to find for a long while) -- there are actually a couple of nice ones out there now. </p> <p>Alicat, the back of the HL top is not really sheer, it's just very cut in -- kind of a racer back cut, and a bit deep under the arm in back. I'm not sure if even a racerback bra will do the trick. It might be the kind of top I need to either layer a tank underneath or wear a bra that I don't mind being visible.</p> <p>Susie, you reminded me! I was so tired last night I forgot these. I did bring home the Hinge booties below to try around the house. They might be too loose in the heel (I noticed some slippage) but I'd like to give them a try with socks and see if they might work. They have zippers on the inside and outside that one could even wear unzipped for a more rugged, semi-punk look. I wasn't sure I need a pair of rugged boots, but when I got back home and looked in my closet, I really don't have much in the rugged department other than my old Doc Martens which have a very different vibe from these and I wear in an ultracasual way. Others I feel more confident about. Here we go...</p> <p>1 Equipment plaid sweater and Rag &amp; Bone BF jeans. I love the sweater. It was the first thing that grabbed me from the catalog. Very nice quality and I like the fluid but not oversized fit. </p> <p>I like the jeans a lot. A little baggy in the seat and quite big in the waist, but they're BFs. A little short, but longer than most BF cuts on me. I'd roll them anyway, or tuck into boots. </p> <p>2 Current Elliot metallic sweatshirt. Actually, the weight is in between that of a tee and a sweatshirt, which I like. Not too heavy or stiff at all. Nice drape. Fun piece. Sleeves are short (3/4 length I guess). Same jeans as in #1. </p> <p>3 Eileen Fisher mixed media jacket. I like this more than I expected to. This is an XS (I'm typically a 6 or 8 in jackets) so be aware the sizing is very generous! </p> <p>4-5 Hinge leather hoodie. I love the color and that it's not a typical jacket style like a bomber or moto. This is sized up -- the M was pulling a little across the back when is move my arms, and I'd want to layer under this. What do you think? Too big? </p> <p>6-7 Helmut Lang sleeveless top and Jolt (juniors!) plaid pants. Not totally sure about either of these. Love the top from the front, but a bit bare in back. I need to see if it works with a racer back bra. The pants are really inexpensive so could be a fun way to try plaid bottoms which I have wanted forever! They're a little too short, but I'd only wear them with booties anyway. </p> <p>8-9 Nike sneakers. For casual wear, not workouts. Love the color and they're light as air!</p> <p>So what do you think?
