It's so interesting -- i think "neutral' is what can allow "minimal" and "bohemian" to coexist. If, for example, you followed Joy's lead and put a red teakettle in there -- it would be so cute but would lose the minimal feel. So I can definitely see how this idea could work.

Several years ago, I saw a scarf that i wanted to knit but never did, sadly. It was made from about 6 different creamy white knotty wools, so it ended up being big, loose, textured, and all shades of white. It was incredibly beautiful. It's immediately what I think of when I hear minimal-bohemian-neutral. It's a very peaceful place, very natural. Sounds like a great way to live post-disaster.

The kitchen photo reminds me of some of the Scandinavian home decor blogs.

I can't find it now, but a while back I found a home decor picture labeled minimalist boho that really spoke to me. I'd previously thought of those two descriptors as opposites, but the picture of a bedroom with clean lines, neutral, natural colors and minimal adornments was a revelation.

Have you ever read the blog unfancy? I think she does minimal and boho beautifully. She was all capsules all the time for a couple of years, but now she is focusing more on less purchases of higher more ethically made items.

The biggest unifier I've found when looking at more minimal boho decor and fashion is a more limited and more neutral color palette.

Nice decor. I crave minimalism too thought I'm too messy in my home. Your outfit sounds bohemian bUT simple. A pic would be good. As Joy said when things seem out of control. It's good to have something you can control

Interesting. I would think "minimal" and "Bohemian" would be opposites. Your pallet looks clean and calming, although I want to add a red teakettle or stockpot to that stove.
You are in a situation caused by something out of your control. You are re-establishing control in your life starting with these decisions. excellent!

As I am filling in the gaps in our home left by damage from the fire, and re-decorating, I am having some ideas that apply to both my interior design and my fashion style. I have been moving in a certain direction without really defining it, but wanting to search for things I need and inspiration pictures has caused me to hone in on the words which bring up what I am looking for:
Neutral
Minimal
Bohemian
I think this describes both my home decor and clothing style lately. In the apartment I am combining lots of shades of brown with taupes, cream, white, black, natural fibers, texture and plants. In my wardrobe, I am moving in a similar direction. I have never been a tee shirt and jeans kind of gal, but now those outfits are some of my favorites. The other day I wore my light wash cropped skinny destroyed boyfriend jeans with a black V neck tee (semi-tucked), a caramel colored belt with brass buckle and matching laser cut sandals with bronzy make up and I felt so ME. I am wearing a lot of neutral combinations and feeling very good about them. It's been an interesting exercise replacing so much so quickly but it has lead to good food for thought.
