And thanks for all the advice to keep the top very simple. I'm not a pattern mixer or anything, so there was no danger of that! Glad you all like them . . . it can be harder to decide what to keep when you are out of your usual comfort zone. I do see one nay and would love to hear why, but it's cool, could very well just be poison eye. I think this may be an easier sell with your BF/ SO/ partner/ other half if paired with something really simple like your draped white tee shirt and black sandals. From what I remember your SO does wear patterned shirts, therefore, I would argue this is just the same principal and he just needs time for his eye to adjust. The tunic is also lovely on you as well as tights and leggings I couild also see this with your boyfriend shorts peeking underneath. But they're super cute with those flats too, to go more casual. The dress is great as a dress with sandals for your still warm climate. Or, you can go with real leggings and boots.
