Here is an update.</p> <p>The coat - returning it now that I’m back</p> <p>The boots - new size arrived - thumbs up. Keeping.</p> <p>T &amp; B bag arrived - super cute. I needed a small bag with gold toned hardware, which has turned out to be a wardrobe hole. </p> <p>I also received a Kendra Scott necklace that isn’t in Finds yet, but I’ll add it later. </p> <p>Once the month turned over and so did my monthly budget, I ordered a handful more items that were still in stock. The shoes are brands I trust; the boots will replace a less comfy pair, but I’m not sure how I’ll like the shape of these sneakers.. The sweater is a nice color. No other clothing items were really calling to me, so maybe I’ve finally reached my magical happy wardrobe place. The plaid coat is too big! I have broad shoulders and a slight IT tendency to my frame, tried it in a size small and it was too large for me even with sweaters on, etc. It has raglan sleeves. I suspect it is meant to be oversized which does not seem to work well for me, and probably not for you either with your petite size. I’m sad to be missing out on that cozy soft fabric as well. It looks a bit larger than simply what is needed for layering. I think the right coat is out there, but perhaps not this one. Then again, you can always hang on to it, and return in Sept/Oct, if something better comes along.</p> <p>ETA- to be fair to the coat, I think part of the problem is that it doesn’t compare as well to the blazer. I found quite a lot of the long coats/ jackets to be narrow on me this year. My hips are bigger due to weight gain and just enough bigger, I guess, that my old fit problems are reviving. But I also think the cuts of many items exacerbated the situation. Some that fit "narrow" over the hip area on me include the ones below. Really a wildcard for me because I haven’t been wearing enough blazers lately, as the season is so short for them. But I have a few enough blazers that I can make room for one that I absolutely love, and that’s completely different than anything I have. It will work as a fall jacket too. </p> <p>BAD: Pokolinos booties - I didn’t snap any photos because they’ve been pretty well covered on here and I packed them up immediately to send out this evening. Even on the smaller of my feet, my regular Euro size was too tight - even without socks on. Surprised and disappointed. It looks like the size up is available and I may be trying that. ETA - since I believe that one size up will work, I reordered. These almost fit but wouldn’t have been comfortable. </p> <p>Maybe: Bernardo coat. First of all, the quality on this coat is stunning, especially for the NAS price The fabric is yummy. I have my usual problem though that it just barely fits on the hips and is too big on top. Course, I have that problem with almost every coat, and at least this one fits on the hips— if I have to compromise, I’d rather it be on the fit up top because then at least I can wear a big sweater underneath. The sleeves are long. Long sleeves are good on a coat, but These may be too long. I’d be OK with doing that alteration. I want your opinions before deciding, and I’m OK with the fact that I probably won’t make a final decision until I return from my vacation. ( unlike the booties, this is a straight yes or no rather than a rush to re-order the right size.) ETA - leaning towards returning when I come back in August. </p> <p>Bonus - I was able to order the Treasure &amp; Bond purse as a pop back. It won’t arrive until I’m gone though. </p>
