The last few weeks have been difficult. I have very severe endometriosis which is not treatable right now because of the cancer. It has been making me very sick...I had a heavy, 14 day period that almost hospitalized me for blood loss and migraines. YUCK !!!</p> <p>I start radiation next week and then in the Fall sometime, my oncologist and endocrinologist will put a plan together for me for the next five years ( I also can't take Tamoxifin due to the endometriosis. ) I wish all my girl parts would just stop vying for the most attention !!! Isn't that such a revelation !!! I really struggled with that when I first tripped upon YLF. I had gone from working in a corporate setting in a big city to being a stay-at-home mom in a very, small town. I had no idea how to look presentable in clothes for "nothing" specific. Oh, Mo, it was terrible. I either waaaaay over dressed or I looked like I was showing up at my kids' school to scrub the toilets. ( I take that back...the janitor always looked better than me ! )</p> <p>I think that I have told this story before.....one day I saw a picture of a woman in a ball gown ( in Vogue ) riding a horse with Wellies on and working in the garden. I thought that was IT. My husband came home to find me in a nice dress scrubbing the bathtub.....he thought that I might want to get out more.</p> <p>The other day I went to the local dump/recycling center in faded jeans, Simple animal print sneakers, a plain t-shirt and a silk scarf as a necklace. I realized if I keep hanging on to the demoted stuff I would wear mostly just that. And that's when my maxim appeared like a bubble cartoon caption over my head! </p> <p>Wear nicer stuff casually or get nicer casual stuff. </p> <p>Simple, yes. But it boils down my latest trouble with my closet nicely. Mo's corollary :)<br /> I pulled out a few demoted dresses, tried them on, etc. I promoted one dress back up to casual wear and moved 2 to the donate pile. Not having that catchall demoted/loungewear abyss is more helpful for me. I have 2 dedicated lounge dresses now. The in betweens either made the cut or didn't. And now I can look to the dresses hanging in my closet because I don't have the pile of so-so's to fall back on. Like I said, simple, but just changing this little perspective somehow makes half of my closet more accessible to me. The mind is a funny thing LOL. Or at least mine is! </p>
