I love 5th grade. They still listen to you...sort of. The girls are going to start calling and they can be aggressive. He carefully picked out his clothes last night and broke with his normal "uniform" of gym shorts and tech tops to wear his best dark slim jeans, a subtly logo'd tee, and of course his coolest skateboarding shoes and favorite sweatshirt (because it's not like the weather has been a thousand degrees or anything!), and his Ellie bracelet... always the bracelet. His grandfather gave him a fresh flat top hair cut, which his friends had to pet when he walked in. He got out of the car and gave me his best "I'm way too cool to be excited" face, and with that we are off to the new school year. I'm not ready for this. Not that he's growing up... I'm just not ready for the homework. (sigh) </p>
